With the development of technology and medicine,as an important branch of clinical medicine-anesthesiology is also constantly progressing and developing into a separate discipline.Veterinary anesthesia is based on human anesthesiology, inspired and applied to animals,to provide diseased animals with better physiological and pharmacological indications, and to relieve pain. The correct use of anesthetics can relieve pain and improve the safety of clinical examination and surgical treatment. However, the use of narcotic drugs has certain risks, which may lead to patient death and postoperative sequelae.Different types of anesthetics have their own characteristics in clinical application. Each type of anesthetic can produce specific effects and have different toxic and side effects. It is necessary to select suitable anesthetics for different patients and use them in combination to integrate their own The advantages are the hotspot of veterinary anesthesia research in recent years. This study used the combination of dexmedetomidine-zoletil and butorphanol-midazolam-propofol to induce anesthesia in adult dogs and young dogs respectively, aiming to evaluate the effects of two different induction anesthesia methods The effect and safety of young dogs and adult dogs provide new ideas and references for clinical compound anesthesia for dogs of different ages.In this experiment, two different compound anesthesia methods were applied to 6 healthy adult dogs and 6 healthy young dogs.By recording the time of each period of anesthesia, and scoring the quality of tracheal intubation, the effect of anesthesia, and the quality of recovery, the induction anesthesia effect of the two compound anesthetics was evaluated. In addition,by recording physiological indicators during anesthesia, including blood oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature. As well as collecting blood, testing hematological indicators, including biochemistry, blood routine, etc.,comprehensively evaluate the effects of the two combined anesthesia methods from the quality of anesthesia to the physiological effects. The experimental results show that the induction anesthesia method of dexmedetomidine-zoletil has ideal anesthesia effects for adult and young dogs, and has good sedation, analgesia and muscle relaxation effects. But judging from the results of circulatory system monitoring, this combined anesthesia method can cause a decrease in heart rate,as well as adverse conditions such as respiratory depression, lower blood pressure, and hypothermia. The effect of induction anesthesia by butorphanol-midazolam-propofol in young dogs is better than that in adult dogs, but compared with the dexmedetomidine-zoletil group, the sedative effect is not ideal, and analysis In the results of circulatory system monitoring,it is found that this compound method has almost no effect on the heart rate. The effect on respiration and blood pressure is similar to that of dexmedetomidine-zoletil for induction of anesthesia. The hematological test results of the two methods of induction of anesthesia show that both methods of induction of anesthesia will slow down the metabolism in the animal’s body, but have no obvious adverse effects on liver and kidney functions. In summary, the two induction methods of combined anesthesia have their own characteristics. The combined anesthesia effect of dexmedetomidine-zoletil is indeed effective. However,it is not recommended for young dogs in view of the adverse effects on the heart rate and poor cardiac function. For the best sick animals, adult dogs are recommended to use dexmedetomidine-zoletil.Butorphanol-midazolam-propofol induces compound anesthesia with faster metabolism and higher safety. Therefore,we concluded that the combination of dexmedetomidine-zoletil is better for adult dogs, and butorphanol-midazolam-propofol anesthesia is recommended for young dogs.
