Captivity of goat is a revolutionary change of goat production mode, which can effectively avoid the destruction of natural vegetation by free grazing and realize the intensive scale production of mutton sheep. Therefore,it has become an important mode of goat breeding in China, especially in the south. However, there are some problems such as different degrees of adaptability and immunity decline in the captive goat breeding mode, which affect the large-scale promotion of the captive goat. The purpose of this experiment is to study the effects of probiotics and polysaccharides added into the feed of captive goats on the production performance, blood metabolites and rumen microbial fermentation of goats, and to provide technical support for the improvement of the digestive function and disease resistance of captive goats. The research methods and results are as follows.1.Effects of probiotics on production performance and blood biochemical indexes in housed lambs. One hundred Sichuan Black goats with 4 months old were randomly allocated to 5 groups with 20 goats in each group. The control group was fed the basal diet, the other four groups were supplemented with 0.1%,0.2%,0.4%,and 0.8%probiotic preparations in the basal diet. The results showed that there was not difference on the average dairy grown(ADG)and average dairy feed intake(ADFI)between all treatments and control, while,,the contents of serum total protein(TP),globulin and total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD)were increased in 0.2%,0.4%and 0.8%groups(P<0.05),and 0.4%group increased the activity of total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)and decreased the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)compared with the control group(P<0.05).In addition, the activity of glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)was significantly higher in 0.1%and 0.4%groups than that in 0.1%and 0.8%groups compared with the control group(P<0.05).2.Effects of probiotics and Chinese medicine polysaccharides on production performance, blood biochemical indexes and rumen microbial fermentation of captive goats.Forty healthy goats with 4-month-old were randomly divided into 4 groups with 10goats in each group, which were control group, probiotic group,Chinese medicine polysaccharides group(CMP)and compound group(probiotics+CMP).The results showed that, the ADG of CMP group were increased, and the ratio of feed and growth(F:G)were decreased compared with the control group(P<0.05).Moreover,the concentrations of blood glucose(GLU)were increased in probiotic group and compound group(P<0.05),but there was a trend of decreasing on the contents of total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)in all treatment groups(0.05≤P<0.10),while the contents of high-density lipoprotein(HDL)increased(P<0.05).The contents of immunoglobulin(Ig A,Ig G and Ig M)were increased in CMP group(P<0.05),and the Ig G contents were increased in probiotic group compared with the control group(P<0.05).The activity of T-AOC,SOD and GSH-Px in probiotic group and CMP group were increased significantly, and the content of MDA were decreased significantly(P<0.05)compared with the control group. In addition, the probiotics group had lower p H and higher bacteria protein(BCP)content(P<0.05).The ratio of acetic propionic acid and propionic acid decreased in CMP group and compound group(P<0.05).There was a trend of decreasing on the contents of ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N)of rumen in each treatment group. On the composition of the bacterial flora,Bacteroidetes and Firmicutes were both the dominant bacteria in all groups. While, the relative abundance of bacteria-NA in probiotics group was higher than that in CMP and compound group(P<0.05).The relative abundance of fibroblastes in compound group was higher than that of probiotic group and CMP(P<0.05).The relative abundance of Muribaculaceae_NA and Succiniclasticum were increased in CMP group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the relative abundance of Veillonellaceae_NA was increased in the probiotic group compared with the control group(P<0.05).Last,the relative abundance of rumen bacteriaceae_UCG-002 increased in the composite group compared with the control group(P<0.05).The above results indicated that dietary with supplemental with probiotics could improve the antioxidant function of captive goats and promote protein metabolism, but did not affect their growth performance.Dietary with supplemental with probiotics or Chinese medicine polysaccharides both regulated glycolipid metabolism, promoted immunity and antioxidant capacity, and improved the structure of rumen flora and its fermentation function, but the combined effect of the two is not obvious.
