The purpose of the study is to clarify the action mechanism of oregano oil and organic Cobalt synergistic additive(EOC)on Hexi Cashmere goats and explore appropriate EOC application amount for them in practice.The experiment is focused on effects of different doses of EOC on growth performance,nutrient digestion,blood physiological and biochemical indicators,rumen fermentation metabolism,and digestive tract tissue structure on goats using single factor test design.All of which is to provide the thEOretical basis for Hexi Cashmere Goats fatting in different places and EOC application in goat production practices.In this experiment,45 healthy Hexi Goats with a body weight of approximately 30±5 kg and a body length approaching were randomly divided into three treatments(0 g/d、4 g/d、7 g/d).Each treated 15 goats,fed twice a day at fixed points,and allowed to drink water freely.Includes four parts:Test 1.Effect of EOC Addition on Production Performance and Diet Nutrients Digestion of Hexi Cashmere Goat.After the trial began,each sheep was weighed on an empty stomach at 0 d,30 d,60 d,and 90 d.The length,body height,chest depth,chest circumference,tube circumference,chest width,etc.were measured.The average daily weight gain(ADG)were calculated.And the effects EOC on nutrient digestion of goat were also studied.The results showed that goat ADG of the 4 g/d and 7g/d groups were increased compared with Control.At 90 days,the ADG of the 4 g/d group was significantly greater than the other two treatments(P<0.05);The addition of EOC had no significant effect on goat body length and chest circumference etc.(P>0.05),but the mean value was higher than that of the Control group.The apparent digestibility of ADF,NDF,and CP of Hexi Cashmere goats increased significantly(P<0.05)when adding EOC,but there was no difference between groups of 4 g/d and 7 g/d(P>0.05).All of which suggested that the addition of EOC could improve the production performance of Hexi Cashmere goats,especially when adding 4 g/d.Test 2.Effect of EOC on Blood Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics of Hexi Cashmere GoatAt the stage of 60 d and 90 d,each sheep was subjected to blood sampling in jugular vein to determine the blood physiological and biochemical indexes.The results showed that adding EOC had no significant effect on blood physiological parameters(such as HCT,MCV,MCH,MCHC)of Hexi Cashmere Goat(P>0.05),showing all of animals are normal condition.However,with the prolongation of feeding,the white blood cell count(WBC),average hemoglobin(MCH)and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC)increased,while the red blood cell count(RBC)and hematocrit(HCT)decreased.At the stage of 60 d and 90 d,adding EOC also had no significant effect on blood biochemical parameters such as Ca,P,BUN,GLOB,ALT,AST,ALP,CHOL and TG(P>0.05).After 90 days,the ALB contents of goats treated with different treatments were significantly different(P<0.05),showed a trend of 4 g/d>7 g/d>0 g/d;There was significant difference in CREA among treatments(P<0.05).The CREA content of the 4 g/d group were lower than that of the Control group and 7 g/d group by 2.44 umolol/L,1.22 umol/and 3.10umol/and 1.00 umol respectively.The blood TCP in group of 4 g/d EOC was significantly higher than Control and 7 g/d group.In summary.adding 4 g/d EOC promoted the metabolism of Hexi Cashmere goats and improved the health of the body and body immunity.Test 3 Effect of EOC on Rumen Fermentation Characteristics of Hexi Cashmere GoatThe slaughtering test was completed at the end of the trial.Rumen fluid was quickly collected for pH,NH3-N,volatile fatty acids(VFA)analysis.The study found that adding EOC had no significant effect on NH3-N,propionic acid,and butyrate in goat rumen fluid(P>0.05).However,when adding 4 g/d EOC,the rumen showed the lower pH and greater acetic acid content compared with Control and 7 g/d group(P<0.05).Test 4 Effect of EOC on Development of Skin Hair Follicles and Tissue Structure of Digestive Tract in Hexi Cashmere Goats.The jejunum,ileum,duodenum,rumen wall,and skin tissue of goats were collected and tissue slices were made after slaughtering.HE staining was performed to observe the distribution of lymphocytes in slices by high-resolution fluorescence microscopy.When adding 4 g/d,the number of lymphocytes in all part of the digestive tract and the number of mature hair follicles in skin increased,which means adding EOC increased the goat immune performance and promoted the cashmere development and growth.In summary,adding EOC to Hexi Cashmere Goat diet is very effective for their growth and health,and the amount of 4 g/d is recommended combined with the farmers economic benefits.
