A Study On Fishery Disputes And Cooperation Between China And Philippines In South China Sea

China is a big fishery country and the south China sea is the largest fishery activity site in China.At the same time,the rich fishery resources in the south China sea have also led to fishery disputes among neighboring countries that cannot be ignored.As one of the littoral states of the south China sea,it is self-evident that the fishery development comes down to the essence of it to a great extent..China’s consistent position on the south China sea issue is that "sovereignty belongs to us,disputes should be shelved and joint development should be carried out",which has set the tone for the joint cooperation in the fishery field between China and Philippines in south China sea.On the other hand,the low sensitivity in politics,the win-win situation in economy and the linkage and demonstration effect brought by cooperation are also conducive to the fishery cooperation between China and the Philippines in the south China sea.In recent years,due to the changes in the domestic political situation of the Philippines,the two sides have made positive progress in fishery cooperation despite disputes in the fishery field of the south China sea.The research object of this paper is the fishery disputes and cooperation between China and the Philippines in the south China sea.This paper,by means of literature review,game analysis,case analysis and other research methods,firstly makes a detailed analysis of fishery resources and fishery disputes in the south China sea,and expounds the advantages and significance of promoting fishery cooperation between China and the Philippines.On this basis,through draw lessons from other countries to deal with the problem of the fishery disputes on the experience and practices,the paper mainly discusses the advance in the path of the Philippines in the south China sea fishery cooperation and efforts,in detail including the control of economic and political relations,deal with the relationship between development and protection,improving the fishery cooperation policy system,strengthen the supervision and administration of fishery cooperation,and establish and improve the fishery cooperation mechanism and so on.In terms of practical measures,the China-philippines in the south China sea fisheries in the aspect of economic and trade investment cooperation,to speed up the China-philippines in the south China sea fisheries cooperation on scientific research and technical exchanges,deepen the Chinaphilippines in the south China sea fisheries cooperation on ecological environment protection,strengthening of the south China sea fishery co-operation in infrastructure and so on,in the hope of providing beneficial exploration for the sustained cooperation between China and the Philippines in the fishery field in the south China sea.
