Waxy corn has high nutritional value,unique taste,and is widely used by people.As people continue to study selenium,they realize the various effects of selenium,and the importance of selenium to human health is more emphasized.However,the soil selenium content is relatively low in most parts of China.Therefore,the optimal spraying period of waxy corn is studied to increase the selenium content of the waxy corn and thereby increase the nutritional value of waxy corn.In this study,seven different combinations of growth periods(Ⅱ-Ⅷ)were set up using Xianuo waxy corn Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 as test materials.Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 were determined using random block design.The physiological indexes,quality,yield,selenium content and heavy metal content of Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 were measured,and the following conclusions were reached.1.Spraying selenium fertilizer at different growth stages of summer sowing waxy corn can enhance the antioxidant capacity of waxy corn leaves,increase the leaf chlorophyll content,POD activity,soluble protein content,and reduce MDA content.During treatment Ⅷ(the selenium fertilizer was sprayed during the big trumpet stage,the tasseling stage and the filling stage),the chlorophyll content of Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 reached the maximum,followed by the tasseling stage(Treatment III).The chlorophyll content of both waxy maize varieties was the smallest in the big trumpet period(treatment II);The POD activity of Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 was improved to some extent under each treatment,and it was the highest during the three treatments of spraying Ⅷ(the three periods of the big trumpet,the tasseling period and the filling period),respectively Increased by 75.2% and 94.88% compared with the control;At the same time,the soluble protein content also reached the maximum value under the treatment of three times of sprayingⅧ,which increased by more than 24%;the MDA content decreased most significantly during the treatmentⅧ(spraying at the big trumpet stage,tasseling stage,and grouting stage).Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 decreased by 48.6% and 60.98% respectively under this treatment.Therefore,the chlorophyll content,POD activity,and soluble protein content of Jinnuo reached the maximum when spraying selenium in the big trumpet stage,the tasseling stage,and the filling stage,while the MDA content reached the minimum value.2.Under different selenium spraying treatments,the soluble sugar and sucrose of Jinnuo 18 and Jinnuo 20 have increased to a certain extent.Among them,spraying was applied in three periods of treatment Ⅷ(large trumpet stage,tasseling stage and filling stage).)When both indicators reach the highest value.3.The yield of the two varieties of summer-sowing waxy maize reached the maximum when they were treated Ⅷ(both sprayed at the big trumpet stage,the tasseling stage,and the filling stage),which were 14% and 13% higher than the control,respectively.,100-grain weight also reached the maximum value under treatment Ⅷ,while in treatment Ⅴ(spraying at big trumpet stage and tasseling stage),the yield components such as ear length,ear thickness,number of ear rows,number of row grains reached the maximum,And also reached the minimum baldness value during this period.4.Under the treatment of spraying selenium fertilizer at different growth stages,the dry matter accumulation of each organ of the two varieties of summer-seeded waxy corn increased to a certain extent,and they were sprayed at the same time in the treatment Ⅷ(large trumpet mouth stage,tasseling stage,filling stage When applying selenium),the dry matter accumulation of all organs reached the maximum value,and the dry matter accumulation of Jinnuo 18 was greater than that of Jinnuo 20 in this period.5.The selenium content of the two waxy maize varieties reached the maximum when sprayed in the three periods of(Treatment Ⅷ),the big trumpet stage,the tasseling stage,and the grain filling stage.,5times,and Jinnuo 20 is greater than selenium content of Jinnuo 18 in each treatment.At the same time,the heavy metal elements lead,cadmium,chromium,nickel,and zinc of the two varieties of summer waxy maize reached the minimum during this period,which was negatively correlated with the content of selenium.The reduction of heavy metal content of Jinnuo 20 was also greater than that of Jinnuo 18.6.Considering all indicators comprehensively,Jinnuo 18 is selected for high-yield selenium-rich waxy corn,and Jinnuo 20 is selected for waxy corn varieties with physiological indicators,quality,strong selenium-enriching ability,and significant drop in heavy metal content.The optimal time for spraying selenium is spraying at three stages: big trumpet stage,tasseling stage and filling stage. |
