In the new century,Internet of things(Io T)has been put in widely use in agriculture with mobile network’s development and industrial controller’s miniaturization,Intellectualization and low cost.It’s the primary key to realize sustainable development and informatization of agriculture as a part of modern industry’s frontier.Agricultural Io T technology has developed and satisfied inherit needs of modern agriculture and irrigation district modernization.Along with hardware component’s gradually improvement and automatic controller’s popularity,software construction about irrigation management and water management decision-making in our next goal to pursuit.According to previous researches,using public weather forecast for figuring and executing real-time irrigation decision-making is a relatively important method in rainy climate area.However,due to complicated operation and high human resource cost,this irrigation management mode is difficult to promote and implement in irrigation district’s low management level.Therefore,the thesis has researched several similar irrigation systems,put forward an idea of IOT irrigation platform and completed the platform’s development and implementation.This platform combines Efficient water saving irrigation technology with Io T device’s control technology so that it solves present issue in agricultural management such as extensive and low-automatic production.This paper analyzed necessity and feasibility of developing Io T irrigation management platform.By absorbing business platform and typical research’s design pattern,we put forward a concept of “Io T irrigation platform”,designed the platform’s architecture and developed useful functions.For problems encountered in irrigation management,we developed and launched a series of functions,including collection of soil moisture info,weather forecast and observed meteorological data and irrigation automatic control.Furthermore,we promoted “smart irrigation mode” and improved management efficiency of irrigation systems for rice field and garden.Basing on related cooperation projects and the platform’s feature of management centralization,several irrigation systems was deployed and applied in various provinces in China,across different climate zone.For examining effects of smart irrigation decision-making,this paper compares conventional irrigation mode with smart irrigation mode applying irrigation decision-making technology,analyzing rice field water depth variation,daily rainfall,irrigation and drainage amount and irrigation schedules during the growth period.Above research confirmed that after applying smart irrigation decision-making mode through the platform’s management,automatic and unmanned irrigation has been implemented into rice field.In addition,the solution achieves water saving and yield increase at the same time.The results indicate that Io T irrigation management platform and smart irrigation decision-making possesses water saving benefits and application value,and application potential for large scale water resources allocation.The research result lays foundation for advanced achievement of intelligent irrigation management’s promotions in our country,even in the world,and efficient water-saving strategy’s actual application in irrigation districts with rice as the main crop.Thus,it is worthy of strongly promotion.
