Nowadays,with the people's living standards being improved,the cultivation area of citrus in China has increased year by year.Asia is the main citrus cultivation area in the world.In 2014,there are three countries with the largest cultivation area,including China(2.404 million per hm~2),India(1.019 million per hm~2)and Nigeria(0.7915 million per hm~2).Meanwhile,China is one of the fastest countries in its increasing speed of the cultivation area of citrus.In the aspect of production efficiency,the level of citrus yields in Israel increased year by year due to the country's high investment in agricultural technologies in 2000 from 25,188.40 kg per hm ~2to 38,776.57 kg per hm ~2 in 2015.Yet the average yield of citrus in China was 11 607.45 kg/hm2,far below the yield of Israel.The popularization of Internet of things technology has provided technical support for the modernization of orchards and the application of Internet of things technology in agriculture has become more and more widespread.By using the Internet of Things technology,remotely monitoring and controlling crops becomes feasible.Consequently,the quality and yield of crops have been improved greatly.Considering citrus as an application object,this paper constructs the information acquisition and system management platform in citrus orchard based on Internet of Things,designing the software system,hardware and management platform,carrying out system test in the actual citrus orchard environment as well.The main contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)The hardware design of the Intelligent wireless monitoring system for water-saving irrigation.According to the actual demand of the system,the article designs the hardware of the wireless monitoring system of orchard intelligent water-saving irrigation.The hardware is divided into sensor node hardware,routing node hardware,gateway node hardware,solenoid valve node hardware.And each part has been discussed and contrasted in this paper.(2)The software design of the Intelligent wireless monitoring system for water-saving irrigation.Combined with the hardware system,the software is divided into sensor node software,routing node software,gateway node software,solenoid valve control node software,server software and so on.For each part,this paper designs some software to match its demand.So,each module is able to be organically integrated into a set of systems.(3)System management platform design and system integration test.Based on the hardware and software of the intelligent water-saving irrigation wireless monitoring system,a citrus orchard system management platform was built under the support of server software and database,and various parts of this system were tested and systematically integrated to verify the functionality and reliability of this system The test results show that the system has the highest internet packet loss rate of 4.03%and the maximum effective communication distance of the node is 89.5m when the node is at a distance of 1.0m from the vertical height of the ground.The sensor node detection error range from 0.51%to 6.25%.
