With the transformation of social development from high speed to high quality,people are no longer satisfied with function-oriented product design,but pay more and more attention to user experience,and elderly users are no exception.With the increase of the elderly population,the elderly consumer market is also expanding,and the demand for elderly auxiliary products as a necessity for elderly life continues to rise.At present,there are some problems in the elderly auxiliary products on the market,such as only focusing on functions,not satisfying the experience of elderly users.CMF is the external manifestation of product design and an important part of product design.It takes the perceptual experience of the product as the breakthrough,the aesthetics as the foundation,and the innovation as the criterion.The three elements of color,material and surface treatment process of the product are integrated through reasonable design,so that the product can obtain a new design quality,so that the design can truly meet the needs of users,and greatly improve the user experience.In today’s rapidly changing world,CMF design is regarded as the main driving force of product innovation design with its characteristics of sustainability,design innovation,product strategy and so on.The content of this thesis is to study the CMF design of elderly assistive devices to meet the emotional experience needs of elderly users.Analyze the research status of CMF and elderly assistive device products,and summarize the significance of existing theories for the design of elderly assistive device products;（1）Analyze the research status of CMF and elderly assistive device products,and summarize existing theories on the CMF design of elderly assistive device products.（2）Summarize the characteristics of the three elements of CMF and the relationship between the elements,as well as the relationship between sensibility and CMF design of elderly assistive products;（3）Taking the design of walking aids in elderly assistive products as an example,The process of CMF design of assistive devices for the elderly is well established.Observation method,interview method and questionnaire method are used to collect the demand tendency of the elderly for walking aid products;the KANO model analysis method is used to determine the theme of the design of the elderly walking aid products;the semantic difference method is used to analyze the color,Perceptually measure the feeling of material and surface treatment,quantify the perceptual cognition of elderly users,and establish the mapping relationship between elderly users and various design elements of CMF,so as to find out the design direction of elderly walking aid products;The special scale is used to evaluate the satisfaction of the final design scheme.Looking forward to the future,with the continuous development of society and the continuous emergence of new technologies and new materials,the emotional needs of the elderly will be greatly satisfied in product design,and the design of CMF products for the elderly will more and more meet the needs of the elderly.In the future research on CMF products of elderly assistive devices,improve the validity of the questionnaire,expand the number of samples,deepen the research depth,expand the research content,and increase the feasibility and rationality of the design.
