Nowadays,China has entered the "aging" society,and the elderly product design becomes a part of the aspects that designers should concern.Due to differences in cultural practices,the aging and the elderly living conditions of different regions present different characteristics.Guangdong province is located in China’s southern coast,under the influence of Lingnan culture,people in Guangdong have distinct personality characteristics and living habits.Guangdong elderly pay attention to diet and health,and they also like various forms of outside activities,but it’s easy to suffer from diseases such as arthritis for them because of the wet weather,which increases the difficulty of walking.Therefore,through the analysis and research of Guangdong elderly,it’s very significant to design a kind of safe and portable barrier-free walking aids for them.According to ergonomics research,the human body data that can be found now in our country mainly uses the data of adults as the standard,and the data of the elderly is relatively limited,it’s directly chosen the data of adults after scaled instead in the design.Affected by geographic location,the human physique and motor function characteristics of Guangdong elderly have more differences from other regions,and this will be the key factors influencing the design.In order to ensure the agreeableness and comfort of elderly product design,this project puts forward a design method based on human factors: It proceeds ergonomic-prototype design through human body data collection for Guangdong elderly,which obtains a design frame;It proceeds design elements analysis combined with physiological and psychological characteristics of Guangdong elderly,which obtains a design appearance.Finally it takes this consequence as a design prototype for product design,which makes the design reasonable and effective.Based on the above research method,this project regards Guangdong elderly as design object,studies the barrier-free walking aids design.The main content includes:(1)Based on the regional cultural features of Guangdong,it explores Guangdong aging current situation,Guangdong elderly living habits and the way of old-age care;(2)Using the principle of ergonomics and statistical method to measure the human body data of Guangdong elderly,it analyzes the physiological and psychological characteristics of Guangdong elderly through comparison;(3)Combined walking aids design with barrier-free concept,it proceeds the ergonomic-prototype design and design elements analysis of barrier-free walking aids,obtains the design frame and design appearance;(4)Based on the market research,it proceeds the overall design of barrier-free walking aids,using computer simulation technology forman-machine analysis and stability analysis,it verifies the comfort and reliability of the product design.Through the research of this project,the design idea and method can be generalized to other similar types of product design,which can improve the man-machine comfort and bring better experiences for users. |
