With the continuous development of new urbanization construction, the urbanization rate of my country’s permanent population will reach 63.89% in 2021,and the rural living environment and infrastructure construction have been greatly improved. The population base of the elderly in rural areas is large, and due to the impact of urbanization,a large number of empty-nest elderly people have appeared in the countryside. With the miniaturization of family structure and the improvement of people’s ideas, home care is no longer the only choice for the elderly in rural areas. With the rapid development of new urbanization, the rural population continues to gather in cities and towns, and communities are built around cities and towns. The concentrated living of the population provides an opportunity for the development of rural elderly care, and rural elderly care begins to transform into socialization. At present, many new rural communities plan to build community nursing homes, which alleviates the problem of old-age care in rural areas to a certain extent. However, there are some deficiencies in the aging-appropriate design of community nursing homes, and the space environment for the elderly in rural communities needs to be further explored.Based on the analysis of the current situation of rural elderly care in the context of new urbanization, this paper conducts research on the design of rural community elderly care spaces from the perspective of environmental design, summarizes the design strategies and principles of rural community elderly care spaces, and applies them to the practice projects of rural community elderly care centers. The research framework and results are as follows: First, understand the development status of new urbanization and rural elderly care in China, sort out relevant policies and norms, and research and sort out the relevant foundations of rural elderly care design at home and abroad.Secondly,it summarizes and analyzes the basic characteristics of the elderly in rural areas, organizes and summarizes the development of rural elderly care spaces at home and abroad, combines the excellent rural community elderly care design cases at home and abroad, learns from the experience of suitable aging design for elderly care spaces, and summarizes the design strategies and principles of elderly care space environment..Thirdly,we have a detailed understanding of the new urbanization of Zoucheng City and the empty nesting of the rural elderly, and analyze the current situation of rural elderly care in Zoucheng City.,the lack of public activity space and other issues, and understand the needs of the elderly in the elderly care environment in rural areas. Finally, based on the new urbanization rural community, select the site in Chengqian Town,Zoucheng City, conduct on-the-spot investigation and analysis of community pension needs, guide the existing pension design specifications and the above-mentioned design strategies and principles, and conduct field research in Chengqian Town,Zoucheng City.Design practice for the River Pension Center.Discuss the aging-appropriate design of indoor and outdoor space environment, and conduct in-depth research on space function, layout system and space design. The research content of this paper is closely related to the environmental design of the elderly in rural communities, and adopts the human-centered design concept to discuss the appropriate aging design of the elderly in rural communities, improve the living environment for the elderly in rural areas, and enable the elderly in rural areas to support and live..It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide some reference for the design of suitable aging space environment for rural elderly care in my country.
