| China’s auto industry has achieved impressive development through the introduction of foreign capital,absorbing foreign advanced technology and management experience,which has attracted great attention worldwide.However,in recent years,the development of China’s auto market has become more and more mature and has entered a period of slow growth.As supplier of OEMs,auto parts companies are constantly under pressure in the severe industry competition environment.The technological advantages that it has occupied in the past decades are being gradually caught up by competitors.It is not uncommon for quality risks to occur and even project development failures due to improper project quality control.Therefore,it is necessary to actively deal with and to solve this dilemma.Project quality management,especially project quality control,is an important factor for enterprises to achieve sustainable development.To successfully develop projects,allocate enterprise resources,improve the level of project quality control,and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises are widely recognized by more and more enterprises.As a wholly foreign-owned enterprise operating in China for more than 20 years,JU company has participated in and witnessed the miracle of the development of China’s auto industry.Today,facing the crisis of cost pressure and declining profit,it is difficult to ensure that the project development achieves the expected quality goals and reduces costs only by relying on technical advantages.Therefore,we are more deeply aware that improving the project quality control level as one of necessary means to enhance competitiveness of enterprises.This paper starts with relevant theories of quality and project quality control,introduces basic principles of project quality control,and proposes methods for analyzing and improving project quality control problems by studying the implementation theory of process of PMBOK project quality control and commonly used tools for quality control.By selecting core product of door lock pin project in JU compony,it is found that the project quality control has problems in the four dimensions of pre-control,in-process control,post-event control and overall change control: identification and satisfaction of customer requirements lack systematic control,lack of process control in trial production process,lack of effective control mechanism for dealing with quality problems,and lack of change control procedures in development stage lead to quality risks.After analyzing the root causes of the above mentioned problems,solutions are designed and are proposed: introducing FMEA interface and establishing control process that meets the special requirements of customer;establish daily project review mechanism to improve timeliness of control quality issues;adopt A3 thinking to strengthen effectiveness of quality control;use DOE tools and SPC control to reduce riveting defect rate in the trial production stage;optimize and implement project change control process to control quality risks.By establishing and optimizing project quality control process,strengthening project quality control mechanism and process quality control,simultaneous improvement of product quality and manufacturing process quality are realized,internal and external customer satisfaction is improved as well.It summarizes and emphasizes that the importance of early detection of problems in project quality control,early intervention in management,following defined procedure and implementing dynamic control of project quality.It finally describes prospect of further research on overall project quality control and implementation of 6 sigma quality management. |
