Urban green space plays a role in improving the urban living environment and improving the quality of life of urban residents. It is an important part of urban green infrastructure and public service facilities. As a vital part of urban green space, urban park green space, with the pursuit of residents’ needs for a better life and the phenomenon of emphasizing equal quantity and ignoring practical fairness in traditional evaluation indicators. The research on the level of accessibility and fairness in urban park green space layout cannot be ignored.Based on the summary of domestic and foreign scholars’ research on the accessibility and fairness of urban park green space, this paper studies the accessibility and fairness of 116 streets and 158 urban parks in the central urban area of Guangzhou.Based on the data of spatial syntax line segment model, the accessibility of urban roads and urban park green space in the central urban area of Guangzhou is studied from the global and local scales of space.Combined with population data, from the perspective of meeting the different needs of urban residents for daily recreation and holiday travel, buffer analysis, spatial syntax,Lorentz curve and Gini coefficient method are adopted. This paper studies the fairness of urban park green space in the central urban area of Guangzhou. The following conclusions are drawn:(1)In the global scale, the accessible level of urban roads in the central urban area is basically consistent with the distribution of population density, and 51% of urban roads are lower than the average value of global proximity; The high values of accessibility of urban parks are concentrated in Yuexiu District, the southwest of Tianhe District, the north of Haizhu District and the northeast of Liwan District, while the low values are distributed in the north of Baiyun District and the east of Huangpu District. There are great differences in the overall accessibility of urban parks in space.(2)At the local scale, the distribution of urban roads with high accessibility in the central urban area is generally consistent with the urban population density. There is a phenomenon that the local accessibility of streets with high population density such as Tangxia street, chepi street,Xinghua street,Xingang street and Tongde street is low,and the local proximity of 58%urban roads is lower than the average value. The area of urban parks with high accessibility and walkthrough is small, mainly in community parks and amusement parks. The local proximity of 63% community parks is lower than the average value, and the level of local accessibility of urban parks needs to be continuously improved.(3)From the analysis of buffer zone,it is concluded that there are great differences in the distribution of urban park green space in the central urban area of Guangzhou, and the service coverage of each administrative region and street park is unfair;According to the results of spatial syntax, the accessibility of urban parks in the central urban area is basically consistent with the distribution of population density, and the spatial layout of urban park green space and population is fair;By drawing the Lorentz curve of the ratio of the service area of urban park green space to the population in regions and streets and calculating the Gini coefficient,it is concluded that the distribution of urban park green space is highly unfair to the elderly population.(4)This paper summarizes four problems in the central urban area of Guangzhou, such as insufficient road network connectivity, large differences in the accessibility distribution of park green space, unfair coverage of park green space, and poor fairness of elderly groups in enjoying park green space services.Strategies such as improving road network connectivity and optimizing the spatial layout of public green space are put forward.
