Research On The Spatial Fairness Of Urban Green Space Based On Accessibility Analysis

Public green space plays an important role in the system of urban landscape,reflecting the level of urban public service construction.At present,the public green spaces built on planning standards does not draw enough attention to fairness,which leads to limited realization of social value of public green space.In the drastic transition period of urbanization,the evaluation of social fairness is a necessary prerequisite to preserve the sustainable development of cities.The research takes Xiamen as the research object to evaluate the spatial fairness of green space.Based on accessibility assessment method,behavioral geography,spatial differentiation and other theory basis,combined with the statistics of residents’ social status and the status quo of park green space services to assess the spatial fulfillment level between green spaces and residents’ leisure needs in Xiamen.This study enriches the research approach of public facilities analysis,and establishes an effective evaluation index in connection with relevant research,lastly it is theoretical support for the construction of Xiamen on green space and other urban public facilities.By analyzing remote sensing images,vectoring traffic data,green spaces and population statistics,the spatial difference and spatial fairness characteristics of the green spaces are systemically assessed by GIS evaluation system,so the social spatial structure of typical green space services can be obtained.The reasons and mechanism for the difference and inequity are revealed.The results show that the spatial fairness of Xiamen green space is generally inadequate.The overall spatial fairness has the coefficient to high population density areas and more gentrified residential areas and public facilities.The spatial fairness differentiation of green spaces in Xiamen further implies that all kinds of spatial fairness are decreasing from old-urban-area to sub-new-area to new area,contrary to the general and per capita spatial fairness differences,and the service efficiency of residential and public facilities land presents the periphery layer respectively.The characteristics of decline with out lier;the difference of spatial fairness in street level exists as: the overall spatial fairness and of various green space types increase along the development process of the city,the relationship between urban development and green space accessibility of residential and public facilities land is quite different;the difference of spatial fairness in street group(town)level shows as most kinds of street groups with higher spatial fairness for green space are located in the island,and the overall spatial fairness has the pattern of one center,three axes and some nodes,and the service efficiency is positively correlated with the level of the street group.Combined by the analysis of the history development of green space,we can see that the fundamental reasons for these phenomena are:(1)the historical inertia mechanism of urban development;(2)the impact of physical and geographical conditions on the specific site location of the park;(3)the selective renewal and filtering mechanism of the city;(4)the dual filtering function of renewing the abandonment and migration housing compensation policy;(5)the non-occurrence of traffic in fringe areas.The countermeasures and suggestions are as follows: Attaching importance to the economic and social attributes of residents;using social equity evaluation and prediction methods in planning and construction to differentiate the supply of green space system;for different social space,providing different type of green spaces;utilizing the accessibility of existing parks and their surrounding areas;improving the efficiency of Park services;improving the level of facilities allocation of park green space;improving the layout;In terms of administrative strategies,we should adjust the existing administrative norms and supply framework and incorporate the spatial fairness of green space into the administration performance assessment system,and strengthen the management and assessment of green space construction.
