This paper mainly focuses on the study of natural lighting in the east-west middle school classrooms in the hot summer and cold winter area,and carries out the project practice of Jiangxinzhou Ecological Science and Technology Island Campus of Nanjing Jinling Middle School according to the research results.The main content is to explore the feasibility and design method of the east-west classroom.This paper firstly summarizes the relevant background of land resources,education reform and youth myopia rate,and discusses the design and research value of east-west middle school classrooms in hot summer and cold winter areas.Then,the climate factors and artificial factors of the east-west classroom were summarized,and the natural lighting evaluation system was determined with the lighting coefficient DF,the annual effective lighting degree UDI and the glare evaluation index as the core,and the radiation transmittance as the auxiliary evaluation index.Cases of building passive adjustment of east-west classrooms were collected in classification.Nanjing area was selected as a typical area with hot summer and cold winter,and due east and due west directions were analyzed uniformly in Nanjing.The study shows that the east-west classroom is feasible in Nanjing,and the main daylighting classroom facing west is superior to the main daylighting classroom facing east.Moreover,bilateral corridors,comprehensive shading and serrated Windows are effective optimization measures.Then,this paper selects the method of bilateral corridor and comprehensive shading,and carries on the expansion analysis of the Angle of the things facing the classroom.The research shows that the bilateral corridor has a good effect in the direction except the southwest direction.The effect of comprehensive shading is good in the direction of west by north and due west,and the worst in the direction of southwest,indicating that the design method of due east-west classroom can be extended to the classroom of non-due east-west except southwest.Finally,the project practice of Jinling High School Science and Technology Island Campus is carried out,and the research results are fed back and verified.The full text is about 63,000 words,with 131 text pictures and 100 tables.
