| Ventilated double skin facade( VDSF) is transparent and beautiful and its operation modes is more flexible than conventional single skin facade. As a result, the number of buildings with VDSF has grown fast in recen t years in China. However, the research of VDSF’s heat transfer and ventilation is still limited in this kind of complex climate, such as hot summer and cold winter zones in China. At present, the complete set of curtain wall’s manufacturer and installation technology has been imported from Europe, but the phenomenon of overhea t in summer and energy consumption increase are still ubiquitous in China, moreover, VDSF’s effectiveness of improving indoor comfort and reducing air conditioning system is great difference between Europe and China.In this paper, basing on the experiment al platform in Changsha, gathering VDSF’s annual operating data. Using trial means, numerical simulation software--Fluent to research VDSF’s ventilation performance, to analyze the applicability of VDSF and find out VDSF’s energy saving structure in hot summer and cold winter zones in China, besides, providing some suggestions for VDSF’s design and application.Firstly, introducing the experimental platform in detail, collecting and processing experimental data, analyzing natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation mode’s three factors which affect VDSF’s ventilation performance, the three factors are air chamber spacing, presence of shutter and shutter’s location. Comparing natural ventilation with mechanical ventilation, to find out the structure which can realize natural ventilation.Then, analyzing four operating condition’s flow field distribution at noon and hour by hour. Comparing two solar radiation calculation model, namely, ASHRAE’s, our team’s, with experiment data, selecting the latter as sola r radiation importing into Fluent. Simulation results show that air chamber spacing of 0.30 m is appropriate in hot summer and cold winter zones. |
