Research On International Influence Of Contemporary Chinese Architecture-Based On Foreign Architecture Journals(1999-2020)

Since the 1990s,with the deepening of the degree of globalization in economics and trade,China has made strides towards the center of the world stage.As a result,the relationship between China and the world has undergone subtle and fundamental changes.Architectural journals serve as important windows that show the development of architectural practice and theory,and they are also important media delivering reports and academic discussions on contemporary Chinese architecture to the world.Since the Chinese special issue "Instant China" of Spanish "2G" magazine in 1999,Chinese architecture have gradually been integrated into the world’s architectural system,and have changed the world’s perception of Chinese architecture with its own influence.Therefore,combing and analyzing the development of Chinese contemporary architecture from the perspective of overseas professional architecture journals is crucial to the development of Chinese architecture worldwide.The thesis draws on the research methods of bibliometrics and communication disciplines,and conducts statistical analysis of reports on China in overseas journals,so as to grasp the basic context of the changes and development of Chinese contemporary architecture in the past 20 years.In order to study the external features of journal articles,the Citespace software is used to analyze the output and annual changes of the relevant literature in the data,article type changes and author group characteristics;in order to study the content features of journal articles,keywords and academic terms,main content and hot spots are analyzed,so as to sort out the staged development characteristics of Chinese contemporary architecture in overseas reports.At the same time,combined with the Chinese special issue published by overseas architectural professional journals,analyzing its cover image and main content,supplementing and perfecting several characteristics of the development of contemporary Chinese architecture from an international perspective.Finally,the overview of the influence of contemporary Chinese architecture and the main characteristics of each stage are summarized,showing that transfomation of the focus of overseas reports: from "alienization" to normalization,from singularity to diversification,from superficial phenomena to the deep culture.This essay analyzes the three alternate positions: "imagination","examination" and "criticism" behind the report,trying to infer the international development trend of Chinese architecture and the new Chinese "positioning".
