Vitality Stimulating Strategies Under The "Space-Behavior" Interaction In Suzhou Waterfront District

The network of rivers in Jiangnan City is vertical and horizontal,giving birth to the unique waterfront block.However,as many cities enter the period of functional transformation,some traditional waterfront blocks are facing the dilemma of functional transformation and shoreline recession.The former prosperous waterfront blocks have gradually declined,with shrinking users,lack of characteristics and loss of vitality.Therefore,the related urban memories are fading.This paper first combs the related theoretical research on the vitality of waterfront blocks,and summarizes the research results of relevant scholars.On this basis,the research on the vitality of waterfront blocks is conducted from two levels of spatial form and human perceptual behavior.Meanwhile,this paper analyzes the feasibility methods of waterfront block vitality research in relevant literature,combined with the digital technology in waterfront block design,to provide methods for the research of waterfront block vitality.Secondly,this paper investigates the waterfront blocks of Suzhou ancient city to analyzes the lack of vitality of some blocks in the ancient city.By using SPSS and entropy method to establish the evaluation system of waterfront block vitality,through the comprehensive analysis of the sample blocks in the ancient city to select the representative sample blocks and the common factors and indicators which have significant impact on the block vitality.Then,this paper uses spatial syntax to show the spatial structure and organization method quantitatively,in order to explore the influence of spatial road network organization on human behavior.Combined with the real records of various behaviors of the blocks in the behavior map to establish the scientific connection between the spatial structure and public behavior,in order to explore the interaction and the characteristics of the significant influencing factors and indicators between the spatial form and human perceptual behavior.Finally,according to the characteristics of significant influencing factors and indicators of waterfront district vitality,aiming at the lack of vitality of some blocks in the ancient city.Then,based on the "space-behavior" perspective,puts forward the vitality stimulation strategy from the spatial form and human perceptual behavior,so as to provide the basis for the revitalization and vitality construction of waterfront district in Jiangnan City.
