| Currently,railway transport is a multifunctional tool for the implementation of economic and cultural goals.As an instrument of globalization,railway logistics also strongly influences regional economic development.Railway logistics affects the location of production facilities and their functioning,while the indicators of railway logistics affect economic indicators on a federal scale –GDP,as well as on a regional scale – GRP.Based on geographic considerations in Russia,railway transport is the most popular mode of transport,it is also the most important infrastructure that connects economic arteries together,especially in the Russian Far East,which is the largest Federal District in Russia in terms of territory.Despite the enormous importance of railway logistics,the impact of this industry on the regional economic development of the Russian Far Eastern Federal District,which borders the Chinese Heilongjiang and is of great national and international importance,has not yet been revealed.Accordingly,The purpose of the master’s study is to establish and assess the mutual influence of the railway infrastructure and the development of the regional economy on the example of the Far Eastern Federal District.To achieve these goals,when writing this work,a quantitative analysis was carried out of the influence of indicators of the functioning of railway logistics on the regional economic development of the Far Eastern Federal District.According to the results of the analysis,it was found that the functioning of the railway logistics significantly affects the GRP of the district.Also based on data from 2011–2019.It was predicted how a quantitative increase in the performance of railway transport will affect the regional economic development of the Far Eastern Federal District,which may become the basis for recommending the improvement of the regional economy.Also,a cluster analysis of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District was carried out and regions were identified where the economy largely depends on the functioning of the railway. |
