Research On The Relationship Between Energy Consumption And Economic Growth In Heilongjiang Province

One of the important factors affecting the level of economic development is energy.Energy can increase the total production volume and is closely related to economic growth.Energy provides the necessary driving force for economic growth.Economic growth has greatly improved how nature develops for humans.The scientific and technological level of energy and the use of energy have greatly improved the efficiency of the comprehensive utilization of natural resources.Heilongjiang Province is a province rich in resources,especially traditional fossil energy,so it was once an important industrial province in my country.Among them,the energy industry mainly relies on the development of traditional fossil energy such as coal.With the development of my country’s economy and the adjustment of economic structure,the energy industry in Heilongjiang Province has developed slowly,with overcapacity,low utilization efficiency,and slow development of new energy.problem.So it is particularly important to find out what kind of relationship exists between its energy consumption and economic growth,to seek a high-quality coordinated development model,and to enhance the competitiveness of the energy industry and economic development.Based on this,we first searched and sorted out the original data of Heilongjiang Province on energy consumption and economic growth from 1990 to 2019 and performed a descriptive analysis of them,and judged the relationship between them by calculating energy consumption intensity indicators and energy consumption elasticity indexes.Secondly,using the three-factor production function model,adding energy consumption variables,using co-integration test,error correction model and Granger causality test to quantitatively analyze the relationship between total energy consumption and the four major energy consumption and economic growth.The research conclusions are as follows : Total energy consumption and economic growth are Granger causality for each other,and total energy consumption can promote economic growth.Among the four major energy consumptions,Granger causality exists between coal,crude oil and electricity consumption and economic growth,but natural gas consumption and economic growth are not causally connected.Finally,based on the quantitative analysis results,combined with the current development status of the energy industry in Heilongjiang Province,countermeasures and suggestions for the high-quality and coordinated development of future energy consumption and economic growth are put forward.
