Energy is an important strategic resource, which has a significant role in promoting the sustained and healthy economic development and improving people lives. It has far-reaching significance to do research on the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth of Heilongjiang Province, such as saving energy, optimizing energy consumption structure, improving the quality of economic operation. In this paper I comb the research status;scholars are very concerned about the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth. With the econometric theory and technology developing, using econometric analysis of energy consumption and economic growth has become a trend.Inland, most of the researches are for a nationwide, and there are a few researches specific for various provinces or municipalities, but little research directs at Heilongjiang Province. In this paper,I study the energy consumption, energy consumption and energy intensity factor concept, and the co-integration theory and method. On this basis, the energy consumption status, economic growth, and energy intensity coefficients in Heilongjiang Province, are analyzed. And then I use co-integration theory to work over the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in Heilongjiang Province.Through the sequence of stationary test,co-integration tests,Granger causality test, the test results is Heilongjiang province's economic growth and energy consumption is one-way causal relationship, after that I established the error correction model. At last, problems and the policy for energy consumption and economic growth in Heilongjiang Province are pointed out.
