Research On The Vitality Improvement Of Waterfront Space In Dongying City

With the strengthening of the concept of ecological environment protection and the consciousness of bottom line in urban construction in China,there is a shift from expanding urbanization into optimizing the internal stock space after certain limitation about expanding.Urban waterfront space has become a hot spot that concern for the creation and the update of urban space vitality.However,many urban waterfront spaces lack the vitality because of the absence of theory about the waterfront space vitality.Therefore,the researcher tries to analyze the mechanisms and the factors of the formation of waterfront space vitality from a medium level,and finds out the scientific method of waterfront space vitality creation and promotion.The paper evaluates waterfront space vitality from two dimensions,that one of them take the crowd activity as the representative factor,and another take the waterfront space characteristics as the influencing factors.The paper constructs the theoretical framework of urban waterfront space vitality on basis of interaction of the crowd and the space.The researcher takes some waterfront spaces of the eastern part in Dongying city as the research object.From the dynamic and static dimensions,the researcher carries out analysis of the current characteristics of the crowd activities in the waterfront spaces,with the help of big data analysis and Arc GIS.At the same time,the above-mentioned characteristics will be evaluated from the different reference point,such as the urban traffic network,the functional facilities and the waterfront.The evaluation still need the combination of the other information,including the topographic map,the satellite map and POI.Finally,the researcher builds an overall framework of the vitality that is based on the analysis conclusion of the vitality characterization and spatial influencing factors,in order to improve the vitality of circular water system in the eastern part of the city.Three macro strategies are proposed in terms of the urban traffic network,the functional facilities and the waterfront.Then,the control method of waterfront space vitality improvement is formed by setting the index value.Lisan river and its surrounding areas in Dongying city are given an example as the application of the control method.
