Evaluation And Analysis Of Urban Waterfront Spatial Vitality Based On The SEC Principle

Urban waterfront space has been created and developed in developed countries such as Europe and the United States for a long time,and the technology is becoming more and more mature.However,the construction of urban waterfront space in China began in the 1990 s due to the factors of economy,technology and development conditions.At present,China is in the third scientific and technological revolution-digital era,creating vigorous waterfront space to satisfy human's dependence on real situations in the digital era,enriching and perfecting its vitality evaluation system is of great significance to the renewal,development and construction of China's waterfront space.According to the analysis of the characteristics of urban waterfront public space,the definition of the concept of vitality,domestic and foreign research and existing evaluation reference,the quantitative evaluation system of spatial vitality is selected,which is the theory of SEC Principle.It is a new kind of public space values different from the pre-digital era.It mainly constructs the evaluation system of public space vitality level based on SEC value index K from three dimensions of social interaction,environmental experience,creative interestingness.This paper takes Baoding Fuhe Park as the research object,combing and evaluating its region,background and current situation,the quantitative factors of spatial secrecy analysis are considered according to the SEC Principle,and then the basic data collected are brought into space cells,space units and space group secrecy formulas for calculation,the following results are obtained:(1)The highest level of space cells viability in Fuhe Park is good,but there are no full of vitality space cells;(2)The sports area and the ecological area are all dynamic space units.(3)The whole space group is full of vitality;(4)When the ratio of the number of space cells in the four levels of full,good,general and poor is higher than 0:7:17:22,it can construct the whole full of vitality waterfront space.Combining the quantitative analysis with the construction strategies of the spatial vitality of the waterfront of Fuhe Park,this paper summarizes the strategies and suggestions to enhance the vitality of urban waterfront space.There are three main strategies to enhance the vitality of urban waterfront space cells:(1)Increasing the proportion of open space and the value of open coefficient;(2)Enriching the diversity of waterfront spatial functions,improving the spatial cell sharing coefficient;(3)Increasing the proportion of large attraction points,and reasonably improving the quality of landscape attraction points.There are four main strategies to enhance the overall vitality of urban waterfront space:(1)Extending the continuous walking length of waterfront space,improving traffic accessibility;(2)Reasonably increasing the shelter species and coverage area,improving the quality of ecological environment;(3)Creating creative culture waterfront space rich in urban memory;(4)Create interesting waterfront space by skillfully utilizing the elevation difference of waterfront space.These strategies provide new ideas for building and promoting the vitality of waterfront space in the future,so as to play a practical and effective guiding role in the construction of waterfront public space in the digital era.
