To solve the urban problems caused by the Industrial Revolution,urban parks came into being.With the steady improvement of the global urbanization level and the gradual accumulation of material civilization and spiritual civilization,urban parks are increasingly showing new vitality and are constantly undergoing self-renewal and development.Today’s urban parks,as an important green infrastructure for cities,play a role in conserving urban ecology,shaping urban characteristics,and anchoring the urban form.They also constitute an important space for urban residents to live and relax.Judging from the existing practical experience,in a large-area reinforced concrete urban environment,a large-scale comprehensive park is more conducive to highlighting its ecological advantages,playing a diverse role in society,economy,and culture,and providing urban residents with opportunities to get close to nature and a variety of recreational facilities provide suitable habitat space for the wild animals and plants in the city."Urban double repair" is a theory proposed to solve the problems caused by the extensive development model of urban construction and explore the new model of urban connotative development under the background of stock planning.Its purpose is to restore a livable ecological environment and improve the quality of urban life.In recent years,under the guidance of new development concepts,the theory of "urban double repair" has been increasingly used to guide urban planning and construction practices,with its theoretical connotation gradually enriched and its theoretical extension increasingly extensive.Based on this,this article introduces the concept of "urban double repair" into the planning of large-scale comprehensive parks.Starting from the development history and research status of urban parks at home and abroad,the article deeply interprets the multi-level connotation of urban parks and "urban double repair",and distinguishes related theories such as restoration ecology,sponge city,urban renewal,and urban catalyst.Through the study of typical practical cases,it is proposed that in the planning of large-scale comprehensive parks,on the one hand,it is necessary to adjust measures to local conditions,deeply explore the site resource endowment,and restore the ecological background according to the situation.On the other hand,it is necessary to pay attention to the relationship with the city,repair the urban function,and make it It has become the carrier of urban functions,the shaping body of urban style and the telling body of urban context.This paper selects Handan West Lake Park as the research object.Based on the in-depth investigation and analysis of the research object’s external conditions,upper-level planning,and site current characteristics,it points out its actual ecological environmental pollution,urban function shortcomings,lack of urban vitality,fragmentation of landscape,insufficient cultural display,etc.Then,based on the problem-oriented planning and design of Handan West Lake Park,starting from the connotation of "urban double repair",with the goal of restoring urban ecology and improving urban quality,ecological restoration,functional darning,landscape reshaping,and context activation were proposed "urban double repair" strategy.
