| With the global warming, the frequency of extreme weather events has increased significantly, and the impact of weather on urban traffic has attracted more and more attention.Practice has proven many times that the occurrence of severe weather will cause major changes in passenger flow in urban transportation corridors compared to sunny and good weather, and urban traffic congestion is more prominent under the influence of severe weather. From the perspective of traffic demand, explore the residents under the influence of weather The rule of travel decision-making helps to improve the service level of the urban transportation system and alleviate the problem of traffic congestion. Therefore, this article conducts an in-depth study on the travel mode choice behavior of urban traffic corridor residents with different weather conditions, reveals the influence mechanism of rain, fog, and high temperature on the operation of the traffic corridor, and quantitatively analyzes the travel mode selection of residents affected by weather through field investigation and data modeling.Behaviors provide theoretical support for the organization of traffic operations in rain, fog, and high temperature weather.First, according to the concept and connotation of the urban transportation corridor, the research scope of this article is defined, and then the influence mechanism of weather on the operation of the urban transportation corridor is analyzed based on the theory of "man-machine-environment" system engineering.Through statistical analysis of historical weather data in the main urban area of Chongqing, rain, fog, and high temperature weather are selected as the research weather categories, and on this basis, the impact of rain, fog, and high temperature weather on the operation of urban traffic corridors is systematically analyzed.Secondly,on the basis of existing research on factors affecting travel, the factors affecting decision-making of residents’ travel modes under different weather conditions are divided into five categories: personal and family attributes, travel mode characteristics, travel purpose, weather conditions, and attitudes to weather information,And designed a set of survey methods for residents’ trips in urban transportation corridors under different weather conditions.Through the analysis of the survey results,it is found that the weather has a significant impact on the choice of the residents’ travel modes for different travel purposes and different travel stages. Finally, based on the theory of planned behavior, this article analyzes the impact of weather changes on residents’ travel decisions, and divides the decision-making of residents’ travel modes affected by weather into home-based decision-making and nonhome-based(on the way or back)decision, constructing MIMIC and MNL The mixed choice model residents travel decision-making analysis method, and the application analysis of the method shows that moderate rain, heavy rain and heavy rain have a significant impact on the choice of corridor residents’ travel mode, which is mainly manifested in the transfer to rail transit and taxis, and residents in dense fog. They are more inclined to choose rail transportation for travel.Hot weather only has a significant impact on conventional public transportation. The more positive the residents’ attitude towards weather information, the more likely they are to make travel decisions in response to weather changes. |
