In the context of Beijing’s proposal to build a bicycle and pedestrian friendly city,people proposed to build a bicycle-only road between Huilongguan and the software park.Under the premise of giving bicycles independent rights of way,it is used to share a large number of commuting passenger flows in the morning and evening peaks,while taking into account the purpose of entertainment and leisure.This thesis takes Beijing bicycleonly road as the research object,and focuses on its travel options based on the analysis of its current situation,regional traffic conditions,flow and travel characteristics:First of all,this thesis explains the design types of bicycle roads and the corresponding isolation forms,applicable areas,etc.,and introduces the definition of bicycle-only roads in different countries.At the same time,combined with existing data and on-site investigations,the background,development,and supporting facilities of Beijing bicycle-only road are explained.Finally,the distribution area of Beijing bicycleonly road and the rail transit,ground public transportation,and road network in the area are introduced.It has laid a certain theoretical foundation for the expansion of subsequent chapters.Secondly,the cross-sectional flow,travel characteristics and satisfaction of Beijing bicycle-only road were investigated and analyzed.This thesis uses a combination of onsite surveys and questionnaires.Analysis of traffic volume shows that Beijing bicycleonly road is mainly used for commuting and there is a tidal phenomenon.Most users are male,under 30 years old,and own bicycles.The analysis of travel characteristics shows that about 50% of people who travel on bicycle-only road travel 10 times a week or more,and the travel time is 30-40 minutes.The main reasons why people choose Beijing bicycle-only road include exercising,avoiding traffic congestion,low carbon and environmental protection.The satisfaction survey on Beijing bicycle-only road shows that people are generally satisfied with the road,but they also hope to add awnings,vending machines and other facilities.In addition,based on the generalized travel cost model,the Beijing bicycle-only road is compared with other modes of transportation.This thesis introduces the travel cost,travel time,travel comfort,and travel punctuality into the generalized travel cost model.Take the southwest gate of the fourth district of Longyueyuan to Wanji space of the software park as an example,solve the travel cost values corresponding to Beijing bicycle-only road,bus,subway,taxi,and private car,and compare them respectively.The comparison found that under ideal conditions such as good weather,strong cyclists,and no road segment interference,when only generalized travel costs are considered,Beijing bicycle-only road trips and subway trips are the most economical.Finally,the binomial Logistic model is used to analyze the influencing factors of Beijing bicycle-only road commuting choice,aiming to analyze and find some shortcomings in the dedicated road travel.This thesis adopts orthogonal design,SP survey,RP survey and other methods to design the questionnaire,and a total of 336 valid questionnaires have been obtained.Based on the questionnaire,we selected variables from both personal attributes and environmental attributes to construct a binomial Logistic model of whether to use Beijing’s bicycle-only road for commuting.The results show that the absence of bicycles,strong winds,heavy haze,rain,etc.will have a serious impact on people’s choice of bicycle-only road for commuting.
