Facing the fierce competition in the elevator market,how to better meet the needs of users with the lowest total cost,improve the value of products,so as to enhance the competitiveness of products,has been an important research topic faced by s company in recent years.Generally,60% ~ 70% of the elevator product cost has been determined in the product design stage.The so-called product cost is designed.Combined with my practical work,this paper selects the representative E1 products of S company as the research object,comprehensively applies the basic theory and method of value engineering,makes a systematic research on how to improve E1 products in the design stage,and puts forward the specific improvement scheme.This paper describes the basic principle of value engineering and the research status at home and abroad,discusses the current situation and problems of S company’s product improvement,and emphasizes the necessity of introducing value engineering to product improvement in the design stage.Based on the S company’s actual situation,E1 product is selected as the research object of value engineering based on the analysis of product sales.According to the basic framework of value engineering,this paper focuses on the in-depth value analysis of E1 product: the product is divided into two levels of subsystem and subsystem function for level by level analysis,mining the real needs of users through the function definition,applying the forced decision method for function evaluation,and applying the value coefficient and the most suitable area method to get the traction system and guidance system as the priority subsystem for improvement.The target cost method is further applied to define the functions of "lifting weight" and "prolonging life" of the traction system,as well as the functions of "limiting position","limiting degree of freedom" and "bearing braking force" of the guidance system are as the priority to be improved.On this basis,this paper discusses how to improve E1 product,puts forward specific improvement scheme,and discusses the implementation and effect of the improvement scheme.In the process of research,for the elevator,which is a complex mechanical system,this paper creatively uses the hierarchical research method,firstly it analyzes the value of the elevator subsystem,and then analyzes the function of the subsystem,so as to narrow the scope of the function to be improved and in this way it makes the value engineering activities more effectively.Practice has proved that value engineering plays an important role in improving S company’s products and enhancing its competitiveness.The research results of this paper can also be used as a reference for other enterprises to improve their products.
