China has entered an accelerated phase of ageing. The overall physical fitness of older people has declining compared with younger people, trend of chronic diseases are on the rise and the demand for community healthcare is increasing dramatically.Currently, there is a relative shortage of healthcare resources, long service distances and an inadequate supply and uneven distribution of community healthcare facilities.Research into the age-appropriate structure and configuration of communal medical facilities has an important theoretical and practical guiding importance. In this study,we first understood the concept of communal medical facilities and communal medical living areas for the elderly, and conducted field research at the communal medical facilities in the Shushan District of Hefei to examine the status of the facilities and existing issues. For the elderly. It then combines a senior satisfaction survey with facilities,a comprehensive analysis of current satisfaction and a detailed analysis of seniors’ perceptions of different travel conditions and old and new urban areas. The differences in satisfaction and preference for using the facility are analyzed.Based on this, the spatial layout and services of community healthcare facilities were studied through Arc GIS service area analysis.Based on the results,we found that there were facilities that served the old town better than the new town, with a shortage of total facilities and overlapping service areas, and a large gap in service coverage between the two.The community and the layout of certain facilities lacked a scientific basis. Then,by assessing the accessibility of facilities,it was found that the areas with weaker accessibility were the western and southern parts of Shushan District. The fairness of age-friendly services in municipal health facilities was then assessed on the basis of the spatial arrangement and the allocation of resources.Global autocorrelation and local autocorrelation models are used to evaluate spatial layout fairness, while community healthcare services were more accessible in urban centres. The fairness of resource allocation is calculated using indicators such as the allocation of medical resources per thousand elderly people, the density index of primary medical staff, the Lorentz curve and the Gini coefficient for quantitative analysis. The expected demand of community medical resources for the elderly was calculated and compared with the current supply.Through comparison, the author finds that there are problems in the supply of current facilities. Finally, based on the previous analysis,a density index is introduced for the elderly population using a location allocation model to optimise the layout of facilities and to suggest age-appropriate improvements in spatial layout and healthcare resource allocation.Through detailed research data, combined with relevant scientific research methods, the purpose is to provide fairness verification ideas for the site selection of community medical facilities for aging and the allocation of medical resources in cities of similar size, and to provide some reference methods for improvement of the selection and the allocation of medical resources in the future.Promoting medical societies and effective implementation of community ageing.
