In the context of "Chinese style pick-up" in primary and secondary schools,a large number of motor vehicles have become the main culprit leading to traffic congestion around primary and secondary schools. The traditional ground transport mode has its space limitation, and the resulting chaos of the transport flow, traffic congestion and safety of primary school and students have aroused wide discussion and attention from all walks of life.At the same time, with the promoting of urban underground space development and utilization, the underground distribution center of primary and secondary schools has become a new solution path for students to pick up and drop off. This study starts with the current situation of pickup, describes, summarizes and causes the current situation, and reflects and optimizes the existing primary and secondary school planning and pickup mode.Firstly, through literature survey, this study concludes from three aspects: travel mode and pick-up demand of primary and secondary school students at home and abroad, underground space distribution mode of related buildings, and underground space design of primary and secondary schools,Found the feasibility of using the underground space of primary and secondary schools to carry the transport behavior and the imperfection of the present situation.Through the review and research of relevant literature and policy documents, sorted out the relevant laws and policies of primary and secondary school transport,From the planning level of primary and secondary school layout and parking standards as well as the building level of underground space development and construction and other aspects of multi-dimensional multi-level analysis.Through field investigation and investigation, the present situation and problems of ground shuttle and basement shuttle modes of primary and secondary schools are sorted out and compared.analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these two modes and the differences between public schools and private schools from three aspects: space level, organization mode of traffic flow and management mode. The paper analyzes the characteristics and patterns of pick-up and drop-off from four aspects: crowd index,pick-up and drop-off time,pick-up and drop-off behavior and pick-up efficiency.Through questionnaires, students’ and parents’ demands for "pickup" and "drop-off" were obtained in terms of functional space, streamline organization, safe pickup and drop-off,physical environment and emotion, etc.Taking demand as the starting point, this paper puts forward six design principles of primary and secondary school gathering and distributing space through the research method of environmental behavior science--rational planning, safe and orderly, clear zoning, efficient and convenient, resource sharing and differentiated design. On the basis of the design principles of the collecting and distributing space of primary and secondary schools, this paper conducts an in-depth study on the underground collecting and distributing space of primary and secondary schools.Based on the existing underground space design methods of primary and secondary schools,it carries out research paths such as function reset, streamline optimal allocation, environment improvement and space activation. Finally, this paper puts forward specific optimization suggestions on the underground distribution space of primary and secondary schools from the aspects of the perfection of laws and regulations, functional layout, streamline design, safety management, physical environment and humanized facility construction.
