| There is a certain correlation between engineering changes and project performance.For the mechanism of action,different scholars have adopted different entry points.However,the mechanism of action that causes conflicts and affects project performance due to engineering changes has not been clearly defined.This thesis studies the impact of engineering changes on project performance and the mediating effect of conflict on the relationship between engineering changes and project performance.178 pieces of data are collected by means of questionnaire survey.The object of investigation is the management personnel of the construction unit and general contractor team.Hierarchical regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between engineering changes and project performance and the mediating role of conflict level in this relationship.The results show that engineering changes is negatively correlated with project performance,and its impact on project performance is not direct,but mediated by conflict level.Among them,the frequency of engineering changes,the largest amount accounted for the proportion of the contract price of engineering changes,timing of engineering changes,the impact on the performance of the project in the three variables,the conflict level play a completely mediating role,the engineering changes in proportion to the total amount of contract price,the delay days of the approval engineering changes accounted for the proportion of the contract time limit for a project,engineering changes influence in each other,these three variables effect on the performance of the project,the conflict level play a partial intermediary role.This thesis introduces conflict level and tries to reveal the mechanism of engineering changes on project performance from a new perspective.The research results enrich the research on engineering changes and project performance.At the same time,in terms of practice,it can provide reference for the construction unit in engineering changes management.By effectively controlling engineering changes,it can reduce the negative impact of increased conflicts caused by engineering changes on project performance,so as to ensure project performance. |
