Analysis Of Pedestrian Violation Characteristics And Countermeasures Research At Signalized Intersections

With the continuous development of traffic,there are many problems at urban road signalized intersections,which have certain constraints on the development of urban traffic.Pedestrian illegal crossing is a typical phenomenon of pedestrian vehicle conflict at signalized intersections.It can directly lead to the reduction of traffic operation efficiency and the deterioration of traffic order,causing traffic congestion,casualties and other accidents,which brings challenges to the organization and management of road traffic system and travel safety.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the mechanism of pedestrian illegal crossing behavior at signalized intersections,explore the crux of pedestrian illegal behavior,and put forward targeted traffic safety promotion strategies based on the characteristics of pedestrian illegal crossing,so as to reduce the probability of pedestrian illegal crossing behavior,reduce the accident rate at road intersections,and ensure the safety of pedestrian crossing and smooth road,Inject fresh vitality into urban traffic management.Firstly,this paper makes a qualitative analysis on the influencing factors of pedestrian illegal crossing behavior at signalized intersection from four aspects:pedestrian factors,traffic flow factors,road facilities factors and environmental factors.Secondly,the paper makes a theoretical study on the forms and process of pedestrian illegal crossing,selects 19 signalized intersections in Heze City to collect pedestrian crossing data,establishes an index system of influencing factors of pedestrian illegal crossing,and makes a quantitative analysis on the influencing factors of typical pedestrian illegal crossing through the survey data.Then,the main component analysis method is used to analyze the factors,and five common factors which affect the decision-making of pedestrian illegal crossing behaviors are extracted from 18 factors,named as road facilities environment factor,time factor,traffic flow characteristic factor,group feature factor and individual feature factor respectively;The logistic model of pedestrian behavior decision-making is built by SPSS statistical analysis software,and the model parameters are calibrated.The main influencing factors in the decision-making of pedestrian crossing behaviors are analyzed.Meanwhile,the model is evaluated.The results show that the model can reflect the characteristics of pedestrian crossing illegally in signal intersections.Finally,according to the analysis results of the model application,the paper puts forward the traffic safety improvement countermeasures from the two aspects of pedestrian crossing space setting and pedestrian crossing time setting,which provides a reference for preventing and reducing pedestrian illegal crossing behavior and improving pedestrian crossing environment.Finally,a case study is carried out to show that the method has a significant effect on reducing the pedestrian violation rate at signalized intersections.
