Design Research And Practice Of Textile Cultural And Creative Products With Auspicious Mythical Beast In Shan Hai Jing Theme

Shan Hai Jing has always been hailed as "the world’s most wonderful book".In its31,000 words,it records about 40 countries,550 mountains,more than 300 waterways,and more than 100 historical figure,more than 400 gods,monsters and beasts.It is magnificent and mysterious.Its content is rich,including history,politics,geography,ethnicity,properties,medicines,sacrifices,witch doctors,ancient myths,etc.It reflects the thoughts,feelings and wisdom of the ancestors,which has important research value.Shan Hai Jing depicts many strange birds and monsters,mainly distributed in the Wu Zang Shan Jing.The mysterious and weird description of animals have attracted many designers who made it as a source of artistic inspiration.The Lucky Beast,which symbolizes auspicious meaning,has condensed the good expectations of ancient Chinese people.The image of auspicious beast is loved by contemporary people.Cultural and creative products based on this theme have huge market potential.Based on the data collection and document analysis of the auspicious beasts in Shan Hai Jing,this paper sorts out the characteristics of the auspicious beasts,and puts forward the basic principles and methods of the auspicious beast theme in the design of textile cultural and creative products.Combining digital jacquard technology and embroidery technology to design a new image of auspicious beasts,and develop textile cultural and creative products with the theme of auspicious beasts in the Shan Hai Jing,which provides a reference for the current cultural and creative product design innovation.First of all,this article analyzes and studies the basic concepts and artistic characteristics of auspicious beasts in Shan Hai Jing.Through the collection of a large number of documents,ancient books,ancient pictures,etc.,the basic information of 74 auspicious beasts has been sorted out,including the source,scripture description,auspicious meaning,and the image flow in different versions of the Shan Hai Jing.The auspicious beasts are classified according to the four dimensions of function,source,presentation of auspicious meaning,and distribution.Through data combing,the modeling and color characteristics of Ruiju are analyzed,which can provide reference for subsequent design practice.Secondly,it deeply explored the basic principles and design methods of the auspicious beasts theme in the design of textile cultural and creative products.In terms of artistic design principles,the modeling and color design principles of auspicious beasts are the core of auspicious beasts design.In terms of technical design principles,the three jacquard fabric design principles under the layered combination design mode:the design principle of weft-full-backed structure,full-color structure,and Half-backed structure,provided technology for the design of cultural and creative product with auspicious beasts theme.Through the practice of jacquard fabric design,the feasibility of these three technical design principles and methods were verified.In terms of design methods,the design process was emphatically sorted out,and three design methods for creative design of cultural and creative products were proposed.Finally,the subject selected six auspicious beasts to carry out four design practices.A series of patterns with three themes of "" Fearless Later "","Give you a good dream" and "Fight the epidemic together",used Weft-full-backed structure,Full-color structure,and Half-backed structure for jacquard process design.Then combining embroidery technology,textile fabrics were developed and used in clothing,home textiles,and Technical textiles.In addition,the theme of "Six Fun" was practiced with the weftbacked structure,and the jacquard fabric is used in the peripherals of the stationery.The theme of auspicious beasts in Shan Hai Jing is rich in unique cultural connotations,and it has injected new elements and ideas into the design of textile cultural and creative products.The created images and patterns of auspicious beasts,the innovative fabrics developed,and the diversified cultural and creative product carriers can all enable people to learn more about auspicious beasts culture and enhance their understanding of traditional culture.The design theories and methods of textile cultural and creative products with auspicious beasts theme provide a good reference for the inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional culture.
