Research On The Protection Of Courtyard,Architecture And Style Of Traditional Houses In Taigu Ancient City

Taigu district is located in the middle of Shanxi Province and Jinzhong Basin.It has a long history and developed culture and commerce.It is one of the famous birthplaces of Shanxi merchants.Taigu ancient city with relatively complete layout is preserved in the area.The original four streets,eight wells and seventy-two lanes still exist in the city,and there are still a large number of traditional residential yards.The regional characteristics of the buildings are obvious,the construction skills are skilled,the spatial layout is reasonable,the sculpture and decoration are gorgeous,and the garden art is unique,which has important research value.This paper takes more than 150 traditional residential courtyards in Taigu ancient city as the research object,and analyzes the elements and structural forms of the courtyards;According to the use function,the traditional courtyard buildings of Taigu ancient city are divided into two types: residential courtyard buildings and commercial courtyard buildings.Then,the architectural characteristics of the gate building,roof,window lattice,sculpture and decoration are analyzed.Finally,the protective measures of the characteristics and styles are put forward.The research shows that: the traditional residential courtyard in Taigu ancient city is based on the quadrangle,including the main room,wing room,inverted seat and the garden space between them,Through the derivative development of horizontal("road")and vertical("advance"),a variety of organic courtyard space is formed.Among them,the roof(arched back image),gatehouse(entrance treatment),parapet(detail modeling),sculpture,window lattice and garden landscape can highlight the characteristics of Jinzhong residential buildings,which are also important contents of courtyard protection.Finally,the protection can start from the macro courtyard space,to the single building and garden landscape in the middle view,and then to the micro details to ensure the harmony and unity of the architectural style.
