In the context of economic prosperity and political stability, the country is paying more and more attention to the cultural industry, and people’s demand for spiritual culture is also increasing.Traditional Chinese painting,as an intense and colorful stroke in China’s splendid culture, not only has the largest stock and a high number of exhibits, but also has an important position in my country’s exhibited artworks. In view of the existing related research on the lighting of the exhibition of traditional Chinese painting, the focus is on the protection of the works on display, and the lighting design is often designed from the perspective of reducing light damage, and then ignores the appreciative effect of the lighting on the exhibits. In recent years, the types of exhibition facilities have become increasingly diversified, and the number of Chinese paintings of non-cultural relics in China has far exceeded those of museum collections. For art galleries, private galleries and other exhibition spaces that mainly require the appreciation of Chinese paintings, there is still a lack of relevant research and design guidance.Due to the high sensitivity of traditional Chinese paintings in the collections, the relevant domestic and foreign standards for the technical requirements of exhibition lighting mainly recommend the use of low color temperature light sources, and the illuminance value should not exceed 50 lx.However, with the emergence of a large number of modern Chinese paintings, protective display lighting is not its primary purpose, and direct reference to relevant regulations may not be conducive to the overall exhibition effect of such Chinese paintings. In addition, with the development of lighting technology,LED light sources have been widely used in exhibition spaces, and relevant standards based on traditional light sources may no longer be suitable for modern lighting design. Therefore, this topic is based on the current situation of the light environment in the exhibition space(such as art museums, galleries, temporary exhibitions, etc.)that focuses on appreciative effects, and studies the visual influencing factors of the appreciative effects of Chinese painting works in the exhibition light environment. From the perspective of appreciation,it analyzes the lighting needs of Chinese paintings under LED light sources, and then proposes design strategies and guidance that are conducive to the lighting environment of Chinese paintings. The first two chapters of this article start from the existing norms and standards, analyze the lighting needs of different types of exhibition facilities, and explain the light environment requirements of different types of exhibits based on the differences between the exhibits. At the same time,it analyzes the difference between traditional Chinese painting and other types of paintings, and emphasizes the particularity of the exhibition lighting for traditional Chinese paintings.Afterwards, from a theoretical point of view, the main influencing factors and technical indicators of exhibition lighting were analyzed, and the possible influencing factors in the environment of Chinese painting exhibitions were analyzed in conjunction with related visual theories. On the basis of theory,Chapter 3 conducts field research on the lighting status of18 art museums, galleries and other Chinese painting exhibitions in different regions of the country, and selects 2 to 4 representative Chinese painting works in each exhibition facility Carry out field measurement of light environment parameters.Through summary and combing,we can understand the current status of domestic non-cultural relics Chinese painting exhibitions. In the process of research,by issuing questionnaires, the background information of visitors to the Chinese painting exhibition and the lighting needs of the Chinese painting exhibition are collected,so as to understand the main audience groups of the Chinese painting exhibition. And in six exhibition spaces with large differences in light environment,a subjective scale evaluation questionnaire was issued, and based on the results of the scale, the key factors affecting the preference of the light environment in the exhibition of Chinese paintings were extracted.Through research,it can be found that too low or too high illuminance level will bring people visual discomfort, and for color temperature, people prefer the light environment with medium and high color temperature.Based on the previous theoretical analysis and the status quo problems found in the field investigation, this paper builds actual scenes to simulate the light environment of the Chinese painting exhibition, and carries out a series of psychophysical experiments for factors such as light source illuminance, color temperature and background wall reflectivity.,To explore the influence of the above factors on the subjective preference of light environment in the Chinese Paintings Exhibition.Experimental results show that Chinese painting exhibitions are more suitable for high color temperature light sources. In most cases, the higher the color temperature, the higher the viewer’s preference evaluation.Illumination has a significant impact on the overall appreciation of Chinese painting works. When the illuminance is 50 lx,people’s preference for Chinese painting appreciation is the lowest, and it gradually increases with the increase of illuminance, reaching the best at 300 lx.In addition, the background wall reflectance has an impact on the overall preference of the traditional Chinese painting light environment. At a higher level of illuminance, white or light-colored walls can increase the observer’s overall preference for the exhibition light environment, which is aimed at protecting cultural relics.Under the light environment conditions of low illumination and color temperature, dark walls can improve people’s perception of the visibility of Chinese painting exhibitions to a certain extent.Under low color temperature and low illuminance light environment conditions, the darker the color of the exhibition background, the higher the "visibility" and "texture" perception of Chinese paintings.Under high color temperature and high illuminance light environment conditions, the background exhibition wall The deepening of colors only has a significant effect on improving the "texture" of traditional Chinese paintings. In addition, the fifth chapter explores the level of eye movement research in the development of light environment through the eye movement experiment.Through eye movement experiments under different exhibition light environments, based on the results of eye movement heat maps, trajectory graphs and AOI interest areas, the effects of different light environment parameters on the eye movement behavior of human eyes when appreciating Chinese paintings are explored. The results show that at the level of eye movement, illuminance has a significant impact on the appreciative effect of Chinese painting, but the effect of color temperature is not obvious. From the perspective of the appreciation of Chinese painting works, this article conducts field research on Chinese painting exhibitions in many art galleries or exhibition facilities on the basis of relevant literature research, and fully understands the current design status of Chinese painting exhibition lighting. It sorted out the design issues of the existing Chinese painting exhibition space.A series of subjective evaluation psychophysical experiments and eye-tracking experiments were carried out under different color temperatures and illuminances in the exhibition space of traditional Chinese paintings in the museum through real-scale scenes, aiming to study people’s perceptions of different types of Chinese paintings. The light environment preference of the lighting of the exhibits further proposes design strategies that are conducive to enhancing the appreciative effect of Chinese painting works,in order to provide basic data and references for future related research.
