In many museum, when visitors entry todifferent area of exhibition, suddenly changing of lighting, they will feel someuncomfortable, which make their big psychological impact; Some exhibition halls, inorder to protect the cultural relics by using artificial lighting that lack appropriatedchanges, bring a dark sense of oppression to people. In the technology of lighting,lighting not only affects exhibition effect of historical relic in museum, but also makesome historical relic to change. How to make people comfortable with the lighting, andbring minimize the impact on the heritage itself, it deserve more in-depth studying tomuseum lighting designers.This paper, with methods of literature searching and comparison with museumsof lighting at home and abroad, had researched. At first, article introduces the basictheory of light. secondly, researching design method on a single artificial light ornatural light in the different museum halls and space, sum up the best way that iscombining of lighting by artificial and natural. The main case of study of naturallighting is the Gimbel Art Museum; the main case of artificial lighting is the OrdosCity Museum. On the base of these research, museum lighting design made has morehigher requirements. The paper has studied lighting design on visual, and main content of these research is combining which are showing items and lighting, lighting andindoor environment space. Through these combining how can reached to show best ofart effect, in not effect exhibits itself, while let people to more full, and more full, andmore free of enjoy these treasures.Museum lighting is essential. We not only meet the requirements for lighting ofexhibits, but also to satisfy the people’s demand for lighting effects; the use of artificiallighting while, natural lighting system to build a resource-saving, can be combinedwith artificial light and natural light lighting; after meeting these basic requirements,designers need to make detailed adjustments to the art of lighting effect and process.
