Research On The Characteristics And Inheritance Design Of Architectural Style In Old City Area Of Su-Xi-Chang Region

Suzhou,Wuxi,and Changzhou are important historical and cultural cities in the south of the Yangtze River.Their regions are closely linked,and they have similar historical processes,cultural conditions,and geographical environments.The unique historical,cultural,and geographical conditions make the Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region form a unique architectural style.As an independent geographical unit,the old city is a contradiction between ancient and modern,rich and poor,new and old,and it is also the cultural business card of a city.However,in the process of urban renewal,the regional architectural features of the old urban areas are gradually lost and replaced by homogeneous architectural features,so it is very urgent to re-examine the architectural features of the old city and explore the methods of inheriting design.This paper analyzes the architectural style of Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region from the aspects of architectural style,urban space structure,architectural color,and city skyline.Based on memetics,this paper summarizes the existing buildings in the Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region into "four-stage styles" and "Seventeen specific types".Through the research,it is found that a variety of architectural styles are influenced by three kinds of architectural memes: chinese,western and modern architecture memes.Combined with morphology and space syntax,this paper analyzes the spatial structure of the old city.The paper concludes that the overall characteristic of the spatial structure of the old city is "tend to rational",which is shown in that its architectural layout changes from dense to sparse,and the architectural scale changes from small to large.the plane shape and combination relationship become diverse,at the same time,its space has the characteristics of "duality","independence",in line with "vehicle scale",converging to "space center" and tending to "commercial center" and so on.Through the pedigree arrangement and attribute quantitative analysis of the architectural color of the old city,the paper finds that the types of the architectural color pedigree in the Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region are gradually increasing,and the color degree of the color is increasing.In this paper,the architectural color of the old city is divided into "pedigree of four stages" and "nineteen specific colors".Based on the skyline evaluation system,the skyline of the old city is studied,and it is found that the skyline of the old city of Suzhou is characterized by the ancient pagoda,and the skyline of Wuxi and Changzhou is characterized by the fluctuation of the skyline of the main road.In this paper,the main road,the secondary road,and the skyline around the Huancheng River are analyzed respectively.Based on the research results of the architectural style and features of the Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region,this paper puts forward "three principles" and "four control paths" of the preservation method of architectural style in the Old City Area of Su-Xi-Chang Region.
