Research On Color Design Of Urban Residential Buildings Based On City Style And Feature

Residential buildings have the most closely relationship with people’s d aily life in all architecture types,because of its huge volume of construction and the widest gross area.So the images of residential buildings have important effects on the city environment.Besides,residential buildings’ color reflects distinctive regional characteristics.For example,a residential building which made of black bricks and grey tiles reflect Beijing siheyuan features,and we often regard white wall and black tiles as a sign of dwelling in south Anhui.However,there is no sufficient attention to the relationship between residential buildings’ color and city features,and consider it as a thought of color design method.In addition,the management for buildings’ color in the city is not sound.For these reasons,the color of city buildings is out of control.Which lead to people’s living environment is affected,and the city’s overall style is damaged.This thesis emphasizes to study on residential building color design strategy from the angle of city characteristic style.And explored the significance of the city characteristic style on color design and the important role of color design in creating city characteristic style and feature.The research results in this paper acquired by many methods,investigation of literature and actual situations,comparing different typical cases and generalizations are included.This paper not only provides a method of solving the color problem,but also provides a way to improve urban appearances.The full text is divided into three parts.First of all,it put forward the important link between the color design of residential buildings and the creating of urban styles and features.In the second part,it mainly researched on residential buildings from its role in cities,the way to reflect regional feature,and its design methods of integrality.In the last part,it put forward strategy of residential building’s color design under the perspective of city style and feature,including principles,procedures and content.And in this part the author took residential building in Ningxia Zhongwei as an example to apply the theory of color design this paper proposed.
