Study On The Identification And Evaluation Method And Redesign Of The Urban Gap Wilderness In The Central Area Of Beijing

Based on the analysis of the concept,characteristics and causes of the urban gap wilderness,combined with related theories and technologies such as LEED,land resource management,wilderness protection,and remote sensing analysis,this paper established the identification standards and procedures for the urban gap wilderness in the central area of Beijing.The indicators and methods for evaluating the potential of urban gap wilderness redevelopment have been formed.Finally,the principles and strategies for the redevelopment of urban gap wilderness were put forward.The east bank of Xiaoyue River in Haidian District was taken as a case to carry out the redesign,which provides reference for the redevelopment of urban gap wilderness.The main points of this paper are as follows:(1)Defines urban gap wilderness as: the overlapping space of urban gap and urban wilderness within the urban built-up area,formed by the urban gap and urban wilderness occupying a space in different orders.(2)The main identification indicators of urban gap wilderness are: natural land cover,no settlements,and no mechanical road network.The identification methods and processes include:(1)screening of plots;(2)remote sensing identification;(3)establishment of remote sensing image standards and supplementary statistics of plots;(4)information consultation and field visits.(3)Based on the LEED-ND certification standard,combined with the urban gap wilderness itself and its surrounding variable attributes,establish a redevelopment potential evaluation system consisting of three dimensions: social economy,smart growth and ecological environment.The gap wilderness in the central area of Beijing was identified,evaluated,sorted and classified.There are 71 gap wilderness areas.According to the ranking result of the gap wilderness redevelopment potential index,the gap wilderness in the central area of Beijing is divided into three categories:high priority redevelopment level(A level)and medium priority redevelopment level(B level)And low priority redevelopment level(level C).The characteristics and differences of the three types of gap wilderness are summarized separately.(4)Put forward five principles for the redevelopment of urban gap wilderness,including:regional principles,ecological restoration principles,sustainability principles,sensitive participation principles,and wilderness spirit principles.The redevelopment strategy of urban gap wilderness is divided into six major steps:(1)Investigation of historical background and local characteristics;(2)Formulation of indigenous restoration theory and redevelopment plan;(3)Initiation of ecological restoration,combining human intervention and ecological self-repair;(4)Sustainable development and reconstruction to achieve autonomous ecological evolution;(5)Human participation in redevelopment and flexible intervention;(6)Establishing the spirit of wilderness.(5)The typical urban gap wilderness-the east bank of Xiaoyue River in Haidian District of Beijing-was redesigned as a case.
