Research On The Design Of Suitable Aging Residential Space Under The Home Care Mode

The "China Development Report 2020: Development Trends and Policies of China’s Population Aging" released by the China Development Foundation predicts that the population over 65 will account for 14% of the total population in 2022,which will formally realize the transition to aging.Protecting the physical and mental health of the elderly and improving their living standards will become social issues that the entire society must actively respond to,and they are also the top priority of my country’s elderly care work.As a highly functional architectural form,the residence has a long-term and profound influence on people’s lifestyles.Due to the continuous development and renewal of the residential form,it has become one of the important factors for the continuous extension of human life.Along with the seriousness of aging,a large number of relatively mature elderly communities have emerged abroad.In the traditional Chinese ethical family system,blood relationship is the most important link and affects a group of elderly people’s re-understanding of elderly care institutions,so the home care model has become the first choice.As the main carrier for the elderly to live,the old houses have low building standards,insufficient facilities,and compact spatial layout.As a result,these types of houses will not be able to meet the daily needs of the elderly in 20-30 years,and even threaten their health.The elderly are faced with the low quality of living and cannot meet the needs of life.They need to update residential facilities,improve the functions of the houses,provide a comfortable living environment for the elderly,and promote social stability and harmony.
