Application Of Sales And Operations Planning In China-Europe Train Operation ——Take The Case Of CD China-Europe Train As An Example

The evolution tendency of modern logistics and supply chain management enables the sales and operation plan S＆OP,a production plan procedure for measuring the entire supply level of an enterprise,to be gradually recognized and used as an unique integrated plan.The scientific management and continuous improvement of supply chain can bring tremendous returns to companies.Modern enterprises,especially manufactures,have paid more and more attention to building sound supply-chain management and even implementing ERP to optimize resource distribution,which to the extend upgrades company’s core competitiveness.S＆OP is an exactly effective business process to drive the supply-chain integrated management.Based on the theory of S＆OP sales and operation planning,this paper mainly explores the optimization strategies of CD China-Europe Train Operation（CDCEO）,and takes fully advantage of the S＆OP actual operation cases of company CD to prove its feasibility,adopting literature-research method and case-analysis method.For instance,in order to construe incisively and be easily understood,this paper quotes various data and graphs from company CD.The advantage of this research is to optimize the overall supply-chain management as well as to coordinate the cooperation between various related departments of company CD.Various functional departments of,such as sales,planning,production,research and development,procurement,logistics and transportation are closely integrated through S＆OP.Therefore,each independent department works with common business goals,and largely shows the teamwork spirit,the effect of joint efforts and mutual coordination.The policy support and future planning for the development of China-Europe Railway Express are analyzed in this paper.The following part explores the development status and problems of China-Europe Railway Express and the characteristics of supply and demand.The whole text constructs the planning process of S＆OP sales and operation that can meet the requirements of the China-Europe train plan and improve the train’s loading rate.In addition,the thesis takes Chengdu as an example to demonstrate the internal coordination of supply and demand path for China-Europe Express to become competitive.Combined with this case,the thesis puts forward relevant suggestions and the research depth（i.e.to establish an analysis framework and a specific evaluation system）.Undoubtedly,these contents are practical and effective for enterprises.The research is not difficult to achieve if it is guided by the S＆OP framework.There are operating problems related to company CD,including the mismatch between plans and needs,the low rates of plan fulfillment,and the time-consuming and labor-intensive operation procedures.The reasons can be summarized as follows:（1）S＆OP’s internal supply judgment is restricted,（2）some plan dispatchers are not rigorous,and（3）the operating service platform lacks unified guidance provided by S＆OP.On this basis,the thesis proposes a series of suggestions for optimization with the application of S＆OP and the consideration of the actual situation of company CD,including the use of S＆OP to optimize the relevant theories of operating processes for achieving a supply-demand balance,the positive establishment of benefit evaluation indicators under the S＆OP framework,and the setup of a China-Europe train information platform for company CD.Furthermore,in terms of program implementation,the thesis proposes to intervene in several dimensions: the standardization of capacity information,the analysis of cost value chain,the confirmation of factors related to cost,the formulation of demand plans,as well as having sales and operation planning meetings.In the end,this paper elaborates the implementation effect of the S＆OP plan of company CD from two aspects,which are the organization of planning and the management of demand.Based on the optimization of the S＆OP collaboration system under the new model,the efficiency of collaboration is improved,and the cost of the company is reduced,so that the company can continue to maintain and upgrade its consolidation competitiveness.
