Abstract/Summary:
The new industrial revolution containing Internet of Things,artificial intelligence technology,big data technology,5G and biotechnology revolution,is driving a new round of industrial reform.The industrial reform caused by the new industrial revolution has made new requirements of quality for high-level,application-oriented and compound engineering talents to meet the needs of China’s strategic development.The background of the new industrial revolution needs to be considered in the reform of Master of Engineering education,otherwise the reform may be in the "ivory tower".It is very important to research the requirements of the ME training mode reform,the current situation and effect of the reform under the background of the new industrial revolution.Based on the analysis of the new industrial revolution,it is concluded that the new industrial revolution has 4 characteristics: deep integration and empowerment of information technology and physical equipment,multidisciplinary integration of emerging technologies,multi-subject cooperation of scientific and technological innovation,and enhanced systematic influence of emerging technologies.Facing the new industrial revolution,four requirements are put forward for the ability and quality of engineering technical talents,namely big data thinking and ability,interdisciplinary thinking and ability,collaborative thinking and ability,and engineering ethics thinking and ability.Through questionnaire investigation of Master of Engineering and analysis of Master of Engineering training scheme for typical engineering universities to explore the status quo of the training mode,this paper summed up the problems of training mode with the following: the training objective does not clearly describe the professional quality,the curriculum system in the training process does not reflect the cultivation of practical ability and professional quality,innovative modes of teaching methods are few,and the practical training and practical links are not timely enough.After analyzing the causes of the problems,this paper proposes to build a "knowledgeability-quality" training target system based on the competency model and according to the characteristics of the new industrial revolution.Based on the concept of resultsoriented education,the curriculum system is constructed with the goal of achieving learning results,the teaching model innovation is carried out with the learner as the center,and the practice link is reformed with the concept of work-based learning.Evaluation mode need to be improved based on formative evaluation.
