Study On The Accessibility Design And Evaluation Method Of Urban Sidewalk

With the accelerating process of urbanization in China,urban roads are advancing at an unprecedented speed in the direction of motorization,and the demand for road resources by motor vehicles is increasing.In contrast,sidewalks,as an important carrier of pedestrian transportation in urban streets,are not optimistic in the development of limited road space.In order to improve the urban pedestrian walkway infrastructure,optimize the efficiency of urban sidewalk traffic,and improve the quality of life of street residents,this paper selects 118 sidewalks in Heping District of Tianjin as the research object,collects data through actual research,and objectively analyzes the impact of the survey results on the sidewalk access.The formation and distribution characteristics of obstacle factors,find out the innate defects of the urban sidewalk in the design of accessibility and the shortcomings in the later operation and maintenance.At the same time,on the subjective evaluation level of fuzzy evaluation system,combined with AHP analytic hierarchy process to study the weight of the obstacles affecting urban sidewalk accessibility,comprehensive analysis of various layers of indicators to obtain the accessibility of Tianjin Heping District sidewalk,and comprehensive China’s sidewalk construction Many of the design issues raise the direction of the optimization of the accessibility of the sidewalk.According to the evaluation results,based on the obstacles and design flaws of the sidewalks shown in the conclusions,combined with the excellent sidewalk design cases of specific sections in specific streets at home and abroad,the solutions and strategies for the accessibility problems of the sidewalks in Heping District of Tianjin are proposed.Finally,based on the accessibility design of the sidewalk,combined with the development of slow traffic integration and refined design,the paper gives specific optimization strategies for the existing accessibility problems of the sidewalks in China,and puts forward suggestions for the development of future sidewalk design in China.
