A Case Study On Cost Control Of G Building Construction Project Of ST Company

Since the reform and opening up,the domestic development of economy is promising,meanwhile construction industry is one of the most important industries,which contributed to the development of the national economy.Under the influence of China’s current market economy environment,the optimization of cost control plays a vital role in improving the competitiveness of construction enterprises.ST Company is a large head contract construction firms,however there are still many problems,including problems in bidding and the completing at each stage,in its cost management,moreover those are more representative,Therefore,the G construction project of ST Company is selected as the research object.This paper was based on the case type topics,by adopting data research method,literature research method,interview method and so on,to carry on the investigation on ST company G construction project and found G construction project offer was unreasonable in the process of tendering and bidding stage,personnel management confusion in construction site,the presence of settlement value loss in completion settlement stage,some other problems such as material waste during the period of cost evaluation.Further,using comparative analysis of cost control method,earned value analysis,ABC taxonomy method as well as the whole process of cost control methods analyze the cause of these problems,mainly including imperfection of the bidding system,imperfection of cost management system in construction stage,payment work management as well as weakness of site material quota control and etc.On the basis of above researches and analysis,this paper puts forward the cost improvement measures in the bidding stage and the construction stage as well as the completion settlement stage,and the solution to perfect the material quota management system.Finally,the paper also introduce to adjust the organizational structure of the corporation,establish he information resource sharing platform,and strengthen the staff training to ensure a smooth development of solutions.The above research results are beneficial to improve the level of project cost control of ST Company and promote the positive future of ST Company.At the same time,the relevant research results could also be used for reference by other companies for similar projects in this industry.
