Research On The Agedness Of Rural Public Space In Western Beijing Based On Behavioral Needs

In the context of active aging and rural revitalization strategy,rural construction has received high attention from the country and society,but it still cannot completely solve the phenomenon of empty nest and the surge of left-behind elderly in rural areas,which makes the rural pension problem gradually prominent.In addition,rural construction often follows the urban design pattern,which leads to the lack of in-depth research on the special needs of the main users of public space in the village-the elderly and the living conditions and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,so as to fail to provide a good pension environment for the elderly.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the agedness of rural public space.The research on the agedness of rural public space in this paper mainly takes the elderly in natural villages in the deep mountains of Mentougou,Beijing as the research object and divides the rural public space in the west of Beijing into three categories according to the spatial layout characteristics of the villages in the west of Beijing.By absorbing the design methods of public space suitable for aging at home and abroad and starting from the physical environment of public space and the behavior and activities of the elderly in typical villages in the west of Beijing,this paper summarizes the problems and deficiencies of public space suitable for aging in each type of village,and then puts forward the key points of public space suitable for aging in each type of typical village.Finally,the commonness and difference of the three kinds of village public space are compared and summarized to put forward the transformation strategy for the rural public space suitable for aging in the west of Beijing.The specific research process is as follows:First of all,the research background was interpreted to determine the research method and technical route.Relevant domestic and foreign literatures were consulted to have an in-depth understanding of the behavioral needs of the elderly,the characteristics of rural public space,the design for aging and other theoretical knowledge,and to determine the research object and research scope.Secondly,field research,observation and interview are conducted on the behavioral needs and outdoor behavior characteristics of the elderly in rural areas in the west of Beijing to deeply understand the daily life and behavioral needs of the elderly.On this basis,the basic characteristics and needs of the behavioral needs of different types of the elderly and the current use of public space are summarized.Then select typical villages for field research,in-depth understanding of the relationship between the public space of different villages and the behavioral needs of the elderly,analysis of the use of different village forms of public space and the ageappropriate problems,put forward the focus of public space of different villages for aging rehabilitation.To sum up,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the three types of Spaces,summarizes the influences of the commonalities and differences of public Spaces on the outdoor behavioral needs of the elderly,and finally proposes a reasonable transformation strategy for the rural public space in the west of Beijing to explore the suitable aging design in line with the current rural public space.
