According to the research statistics of orthopedics department of Chinese Medical Association in 2019,about 40% of the general population suffer from foot diseases.Talipes valgus is a common and frequent foot deformation,which is mainly characterized by the axial lateral tilt of the heel.The weight of the whole body and the load brought by different movements are concentrated on the inner side of the foot.This long-term uneven plantar pressure distribution is easy to cause a variety of complications,Therefore,the correction of foot valgus is very important.At present,most of the valgus correction products in the market are mainly passive correction,however,some studies have shown that passive correction is essentially weaken the related control muscles of the feet and legs of foot,which will increase the user’s dependence on orthotics products.Therefore,starting from the design idea of "active correction of valgus foot",this thesis completed the design of active correction products for abnormal foot posture of valgus foot.The primary contents in this thesis are as follows:First of all,from the clinical medicine and other fields,this thesis analyzes the research object of the subject-talipes valgus and the research elements-plantar pressure,human gait,human comfort evaluation methods of wearable products.Secondly,the persuasions design and reinforcement theory are elaborated,which mainly discusses the basic knowledge of the theory,the value of application and the logical relationship between the persuasions design and reinforcement theory in the context of valgus foot correction.Thirdly,based on the research of evaginable foot and applied theory,the method of real-time detection of foot pressure,the criterion of abnormal foot posture,the persuasion mechanism based on plantar pressure detection and the reinforcement strategy of user behavior are determined.Then,the functional prototype design of the product is completed with the help of Arduino open source platform.Then,the man-machine size,structure and appearance characteristics of the valgus foot correction device are analyzed to complete the production of the prototype.Finally,the effectiveness of the prototype is verified from the changes of plantar pressure before and after correction and the user’s comfort evaluation of the correction device.Subjective and objective experimental results show that users can adjust the center of gravity of foot force in time,change the bad foot posture according to the feedback,and achieve the purpose of ankle correction.The research and design practice of the subject enrich the research of ankle correction product design theory.The correction product designed and developed makes up for the lack of active correction product in the existing market,and provides a new idea for the product design of adolescent valgus correction.At the same time,it also proves the feasibility of the wearable biofeedback method based on persuasive design and reinforcement theory to change the valgus gait.
