| Auto industry is not only crucial to modern economic production,but also a miniature of the comprehensive strength of a nation.Nowadays auto industry is on the waves of new energy,intelligentization and other revolutionary new tech.The United States is world-recognized country on “wheels” and also a powerful nation of science and technology.It owns the highest popularizing rate of automobile in world and continuously influences the development of auto industry worldwide.Behind all those achievements,it is an all-sided policy system that is securing and driving the development of American’s auto industry.Donald Trump is a special American President with unique characteristics in domestic and foreign affairs.The thesis is devoted to studying the content and features of the auto industry policies of Trump’s administration,and the impact on the China’s auto industry in short and long term.Firstly,the background and meaning is set forth in the dissertation.Those representative Academic and other relevant materials from home and abroad are introduced,in the meantime,some high-frequency technical terms are also defined.In the first part of main body,I sketch the development history of the US auto industry and its modern policy,also discussing why automobile is so popular in the United States.Those contents is of great importance for us to understand the status quo of American auto industry.In the following chapter,I start to get to the point.That is the Auto industry policy system of Trump’s administration.Though there are many detailed articles of policies and laws,it could be summarized as auto trade policy,new energy vehicle(NEV)policy,autonomous vehicles policy and the auto industry policy and measures under the shock of COVID-19.The third chapter is focused on analyzing the features and impacts of the policy,it indeed has brought vitality to the auto industry,manufacturing and its whole economy in the short term,but there are also some hidden troubles in the long term.Plus the catastrophic impact of COVID-19,the results of Trump’s policy fall short of success for lack of a final effort.In the last chapter,the attention is brought back to China,the country has already been the biggest auto market in the world and also positively promote the revolution of auto industry.So it is necessary for us to take a look on how Trump’s actions impact China’s auto industry,and I put forward some advice on it accordingly. |
