| Since the reform and opening up,Chinese cities have experienced rapid development,resulting in the surge of interest in suburban villages.However,under the radiation of city development,traditional economic,social and cultural structures of suburban villages collapsed during the period,causing serious outflows of population and environment desolation.In recent years,under the guidance of rural policies,China’s rural construction and renovation activities have been heating up.Nevertheless,due to the lack of targeted strategies,problems such as homogeneity,rurality vacancy and poor sustainability have appeared in suburban village renewal practice,which has led to extensive discussion in academia.In 2017,The proposal of the "Rural Revitalization Strategy" in the report of the 19 th National Congress of CPC pointed out the general direction for the development of suburban villages.Under this circumstance,this paper launches the research on the design strategy of spatial renovation based on the study of suburban villages in Nanjing.Firstly,based on the general overview of the "rural revitalization strategy",the paper summarizes the characteristics of the four types of villages in China,defines the concept of suburban villages from the perspective of geographical location,social organization structure,and relationship with the city,describing its typical feature.Through the data analysis and investigation of a large number of Nanjing suburban villages,three phases of the renewal development as well as the general problems in the practices have been summarized.Secondly,under the study of several spatial renovation practice in Nanjing suburban villages,common strategies are brought out on the perspective of industry,overall view,architecture,construction and management,building up a framework for spatial renewal containing fifteen types of strategies on the five perspectives.Under this framework,this article outlines the planning and design process of Qianjiadu’s renovation projects,elaborates the application of spatial renewal strategies in the actual project.Moreover,strategies focuses on architecture reconstruction are discussed,aiming to explore the development approach of urban-rural integration.Finally,this paper attempts to explores the core dilemma of suburban village renewal in large cities,common problems in practice and its internal causes,and outlines the evaluation elements of suburban village space renewal results.This research starts with the concept study of "urban suburban villages",condenses the strategic framework of spatial renewal in Nanjing through case analysis,and elaborates the application of strategies in actual projects.On the architectural level,the study of urban suburban villages and the universal strategies and methods have certain reference value for the future practice of similar suburban villages.The full text contains about 69,000 Chinese characters and approximately 105 groups of charts. |
