Evaluation Of Service Innovation Capability Of Port Logistics In Ningbo

Facing the increasingly fierce competition in the international market,the ports and port cities need to create new service products and processes through service innovation to improve service quality and efficiency of their own port logistics industry,so as to meet the diversified needs of customers and gain competitive advantages.Based on the theory of port logistics service innovation and in combination with the actual development state of Ningbo,this project takes the service innovation of port logistics in Ningbo as the research object and applies the certain evaluation models to evaluate the service innovation capability of port logistics in Ningbo rely on the key influencing factors of port logistics service innovation ability,and then puts forward the corresponding development advices,aiming to provide reference for port logistics of Ningbo to enhance its competitiveness.Firstly,after finished the review of the research on port logistics and service innovation,this project expounded the theory of port logistics service innovation,including its definition,characteristics and targets,then investigated the development status of Ningbo,mainly from four aspects: logistics products innovation,collection and distribution modes innovation,organizational management innovation and logistics markets innovation.Secondly,on the view of input-output theory,the connotation of port logistics service innovation ability was defined.Combined with the characteristics and the driving force model of port logistics service innovation,various influencing factors from both internal and external aspects of the port system were expatiated,and a system of influencing factors of port logistics service innovation was established,which mainly includes port basic conditions,collection and distribution capacity,innovation potential level,management service level,the innovation ecological environment and the external economic environment.Furthermore,by applying Analytic Hierarchy Process and regression analysis,all the influencing factors were summed up as port internal driving factors and external environment supporting factors,and the key influencing factors was identified as well.Thirdly,according to the key influencing factors,logistics service innovation ability was divided into different dimensions with representative indexes.Then,15 port cities were selected to evaluate the level of service innovation ability of port logistics with traditional DEA model and the advanced DEA model applied.The service innovation level of Ningbo in port logistics could be obtained through comparison the results of two capacity evaluation methods.Finally,combining with the actual situation of Ningbo and the results of key influencing factors selection and capacity evaluation,the corresponding development suggestions were put forward.The development suggestions include broadening the port logistics transportation network,increasing the investment of innovative resources,promoting port logistics market prosperity.
