Under the background of ecological environment construction,bionic design has become a breakthrough point for balancing economic development and environmental protection.However,how to effectively obtain and optimize bionic prototypes has become a major difficulty for academic circles.To this end,the advantages of extenics and Function-Principle-Behavior-Structure(FPBS)models are integrated into bionic design,and a bionic prototype-driven product innovation design model based on FPBS and extenics is established to solve the engineering problems of complex products.The main research work is summarized as follows:(1)The "123" system based on extension theory is proposed,and the "123" system is elaborated in detail.By using the formalized representation method of extension basic-element,the extension models of function,principle,behavior and structure are established,and FPBS is expressed from multiple directions and perspectives.The relationship between product system and biology system at the above levels was analyzed,and the corresponding FPBS model of product-biology was established.(2)Based on the similarities of product and biology system at four levels:function,principle,behavior and structure,it is proposed to search for bionic prototypes from these levels.This paper summarizes the correspondence table of keywords at all levels for product and biology system,and develops an interactive design environment-prototype query system,which combined with access database and VBA programming tools.According to the multi-level bionic analogy design method and the query system,a conceptual design model based on FPBS and bionic technology is established.Taking ice planer as an example,the validity of the model is verified.(3)A ontology knowledge model of product-biology case-element is established,and the model is represented visually from a multi-dimensional perspective.According to the analysis method of divergence and scalability,the extension set of product cases is obtained by means of the FPBS mapping model of product and biology.According to the calculation method based on the similarity of features,a correlation network of similarity for product-biology is constructed,and the bionic prototype scheme is optimized by combining the goodness evaluation method.(4)An innovative design model of product driven by bionic prototype based on FPBS and extenics is established and applied to innovative design of screen filter.The candidate bionic prototype is obtained by retrieving the prototype query system.The candidate bionic prototype was selected by calculation method of similarity,and the best bionic prototype was the basking shark mouth.By using the method of computational fluid dynamics(CFD),the conceptual structure scheme of filter imitating the basking shark mouth was simulated.The exploratory work done in the multi-level search direction of bionic prototype opens up some new ideas for the application of extension theory in bionic design in the future,and also provides some reference for the development of product innovation design.
