With the development of economic globalization,the competition between manufacturing enterprises has gradually transformed into the competition between supply chains,and it is becoming increasingly obvious.Supplier management is a very important part of supply chain management.The level of supplier management directly affects the level of sales and profit.For the managers of enterprises,if they want to gain an advantage in the future market competition,they must formulate scientific and effective supplier management process and strategy according to their own situation.At present,many manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad,including the manufacturing foreign joint venture company M studied in this paper,have some problems,such as unclear commodity strategy and supplier strategy,imperfect supplier development process,confused supplier selection standards and so on,which bring great internal resource consumption to enterprises.As a result,a lot of manpower,material resources and financial resources are wasted in the process of developing suppliers.Seriously restricted the company’s steady development.For a manufacturing enterprise like M company,improving the daily management level of suppliers can effectively reduce the purchasing cost,improve the ability of product delivery on time,and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in the same industry in the market.This paper takes the supplier management of M company as the research object,mainly analyzes the product strategy,supplier strategy,supplier development process system and the current situation and problems of supplier selection and evaluation of M company under the background of supply chain management based on global procurement.In the new global supply chain environment,how to integrate a set of product strategy and supplier management strategy for enterprises,how to improve the supplier development process,and formulate a reasonable and feasible supplier selection and evaluation method.Through the analysis of the actual case of M company,we hope to provide an effective reference for the booming manufacturing enterprises in product strategy,supplier strategy,supplier management process,supplier selection and evaluation.At the same time,it also hopes to help domestic manufacturing enterprises understand the supplier management and supplier selection and audit system of the same foreign enterprises,so as to provide reference for enterprises to become qualified multinational joint venture suppliers.
