Baiquan Garden is located at the southern foot of Sumen Mountain,2.5kilometers northwest of Huixian City.It is surrounded by mountains on three sides in the north and lakes in the south.The branch of the South Taihang Mountain extends to the southeast.After being squeezed and fractured,hundreds of springs gushing out in the Sumen Mountain area,forming "Baiquan",converge into a lake,which is spectacular.The spring water flows eastward into Xiaodan River,forming the source of Wei River.As a result,a rare natural environment in the north,surrounded by mountains on three sides,springs in the middle,elegant scenery,and mild climate is formed.It has a pattern of natural landscape gardens and is known as the "Zhongzhou Summer Palace" and "Northern West Lake".Due to its unique natural environment and regional location,Baiquan,as an ancient suburban public garden that relies on natural mountains and rivers and gathers many cultural landscapes,has continued to be used since the Shang Dynasty.In more than three thousand years,literati and ink guests of the past dynasties have left a large number of cultural events and construction activities here.These historical,cultural and architectural heritages,together with Sumen Mountain and Baiquan Lake,constitute the core historical culture of Baiquan garden.Resources and connotation.In different historical development stages,the constituent elements,dominant functions,spatial patterns and spatial attributes of Baiquan garden are all undergoing corresponding changes and changes,thus forming the largest,best preserved,richest constituent elements and continuous use in Henan.The longest-running public garden complex on the outskirts of the ancient city.Based on the existing research results of Baiquan garden,this thesis takes the constituent elements,dominant functions,spatial patterns and spatial attributes of Baiquan garden as the research object,and uses relevant historical documents,inscriptions,art articles,travel notes,and historical maps recorded in local chronicles.Wait for first-hand data as research materials.Using research methods such as historical document analysis,field investigation,inductive deduction,historical comparison,historical space restoration,and multidisciplinary cross-analysis,through combing the relationship between Baiquan garden and human activities,and the relationship between Baiquan garden as a suburban public garden and Huixian City,Summarize the change law of the constituent elements,dominant functions,spatial pattern and spatial attributes of Baiquan garden.The main research chapters of the thesis are: Chapter 3,analyze and summarize the historical connotation and cultural characteristics of Baiquan garden by studying the natural environment,humanistic background,architectural composition,and other elements of Baiquan garden;Chapter 4,according to different historical periods of the gardens,Major events and changes in garden components,dominant functions,spatial patterns and spatial attributes under the influence of important events and important figures divide the historical development and evolution of Baiquan garden into five stages,and summarize the spatial characteristics and connotations of gardens in different historical stages;The fifth chapter analyzes and summarizes the development,utilization,protection and restoration of Baiquan garden after 1949 s.The historical process of the construction of Baiquan garden embodies the perfect combination of natural landscape and artificial gardens.As a typical representative of public gardens in the suburbs of the ancient Central Plains,it provides a physical example for the study of the classical gardens in the Central Plains,especially the development and evolution of public gardens in the ancient suburbs.To study the changes in the components,dominant functions,spatial pattern of Baiquan garden,the interaction between water conservancy utilization and the "city-garden",etc.,to provide historical basis for the protection and restoration of historical gardens,and to have a certain degree of research on the same types of ancient suburban public gardens Reference meaning.
